Another long week of anime consumption, and thankfully some decent titles in here.
Azumanga Daioh (2 eps total 12 eps) this show just hasn't got what it takes to make me want to watch it. I am still completely mystified as to it's popularity, even though it did garner it's 2nd laugh so far from the whole series in the middle of the 12th episode. I just don't want to finish it but it's not going to break me, I'm about halfway so might as well finish it.
Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (Completed) a truly funny title which started off with plenty of humor, great fights, and interesting characters. Sadly this is an obvious first series in a set of 2 or more. As it stands I won't be giving a hoot about it until the next season is finished. Hopefully the epic feel, great artwork, and interesting characters/relationships continue.
Kimi ni Todoke (Completed) another show that I originally read the manga first and though I knew this was gonna be a 2 season show, for the sake of this challenge, I went ahead and watched it before I wanted. It's shows like this that truly demonstrate just how much of a sap I really am. It might have been due to the fact that my school life was very much as awkward as hers that I identified so deeply and as a result was affected to well by this show. I can't wait for the second season. I just know someone is laughing at me right now, I also have a good idea who that person is >.>
Paradise Kiss (Completed) third show that the manga was first and anime second, the problem here is that I completely forgot how this story went and ended up at first sad/upset with the ending, then, after thinking about it logically, I realized that it was the "better" ending in my book. I won't give any spoilers about it other than to say it was... a hard show to rate as high as I did but in the end I think it deserved it on it's credit as a more realistic romance story.
Ryoko's Case File (Completed) a fun show actually, though I do want to take a bat upside the male lead's head. What 33 year old male is -that- freaking dense? I'm 33 and it's insulting.... >.> Well, I still think it was worth watching, don't think it's one I'll revisit though.
Shinzo (1 ep) this is.... utter crap. I've only been able to find the dub which I don't know if it would make much of a difference, was horrid. This show made me lose IQ points, what did they think the Statue of Liberty was made out of, stone? *facepalms* I'm going to regret my vow to finish every show on this list by this show alone, sadly it won't be the only one that makes me feel that way.
Shootfighter Tekken (Completed) a decent enough fight show for 3 eps. Frankly I didn't get the whole teary eye'd meat heads bit but hey, what else can we expect from Japanime? Still, fun to watch and laugh at, about it really.
Shounen Onmyouji (Completed) each episode just flew by my eyes, each time one ended I was left with the thought "what, already?". Though the main characters, in my opinion, were abysmally weak throughout the whole thing right up until the very end I still couldn't stop watching. I guess it's one of those things that just makes you want to see how everything works out. Sadly it wasn't the best of endings but it could have been so much worse.
