The best kind of anime that I enjoy watching are those that you feel like you got something important at the end of it. It's anime that reinforce the positive things about living in general -- anime that makes you feel good about being alive I guess is one way you could put it. That sounds kind of corny though, and I do enjoy a good Code Geass now and then. On that note, my top 5 doesn't really represent the anime I've got the most entertainment out of, but rather anime that sends a powerful message, and that's worth watching regardless of what you like.

What can I say, mecha simply has a moving storyline that a lot of stories seem to lack for some reason. They are either episodic or incredibly dramatic. As for the drama animies, a lot of them are not very endearing.
