Doujin Work: This one I streamed on a whim when I didn't have anything else to watch. I wasn't expecting much and it was a short show with short episodes so I figured it couldn't capture much of my attention. Wrong. This little series is one of the funniest anime I've watched. I was very sad when I finished it in one day.
Yakitate!! Japan: A show about bread. Well. A 69 episode show about bread. I can think of maybe 3 other shows that sound more boring. I know I have only #ISSUP to thank for this one. I probably wouldn't have added it to my want to watch list otherwise or if I did it surely wouldn't be considered for years. Pretty much every character in this show is funny. Though the title of funniest would definitely go to everyone's favorite American friend, Kid. He doesn't show up until later in the show, but you will be very entertained while waiting. This is something I would recommend to everyone.
Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann: Now this is one I finished recently and just like the others I didn't really feel like watching it. I think it was around episode 5 that I started thinking this show was something special and sometime during the second season of it I started considering adding it to my top 5. Though I decided not to in the end. ::Spoiler:: I think too many characters I liked were killed off. I'm a bit of a hypocrite here, because I usually complain that shows aren't realistic when all the good guys turn out okay in the end. Kamina for one... extremely likeable and he had to die for Simon to come into his own, but I would have preferred a couple more episodes with him. Although I was somewhat appeased when he appeared in Simon's hallucination 'universe' near the end of the show.
