As one of my first anime, "InuYasha" holds a place in my heart. So when I recently watched the first episode of "Fushigi Yuugi--The Mysterious Play," I couldn't help but think back. Both have your average Japanese schoolgirl randomly go back into the feudal era (or old China, maybe) and meet some boy. This boy has some weird trait about him, and it looks like other people are going to meet up with the both of them.
"Fushigi Yuugi" is a reverse harem and "InuYasha" is not, but that is a petty matter.

Um, NND? Which came first?

Who knows. Maybe "InuYasha" is "Fushigi Yuugi" 2.0?
