Let's make some use of this blog feature! Well, this winter(summer here) I'm watching more anime than I was planning to. That's because last season I tried to put a limit to the amount of anime I wanted to watch and almost missed The World God Only Knows, so now I just watch whatever I feel like, after all, one episode per week won't kill. I will try not to write to much to make it easier to read.
Also, I will write my impressions based on the first two episodes, and will update later. Here we go:
Infinite Stratos: mecha anime are normally all about fighting and saving the world. IS does something different: the mecha are only used for sport. While one can't really see a great plot coming from it, it is a nice change from the standarts of mecha anime.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika: the last time I saw anything Magical Girl related was some episodes of Sakura CardCaptors when I was a kid, so I can't say much about this one. The faces of the characters may look a bit weird, but it's not really a big problem. The plot is rather dark from what I've seen so far, and it does looks interesting, especially their portrayal of witches. Don't expect any Beatrices or Medusas!
Gosick: I love a good mystery. And I love gothic lolitas. And I love BASTIODON Studio Bones. Which means I have high expectations for it. And so far it does a good job in living up to my expectations.
Rio: Rainbow Gate!: While it's a nice comedy, it doesn't have much else to it. The plot isn't really anything special, and you also need to know the basics about cassino games in order to understand some of it. Still, it's not that bad.
Dragon Crisis!: the plot is a bit hard to follow in the begining, but it's nothing really relevant for the rest of the story. I don't have high expectations to it, but still, it's interesting. And, it can be pretty fun for Toradora! fans, with the main character being named Ryuji and with the female lead having the same voice as Taiga.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?: this... is a weird show. But in the middle of all this weirdness lies great potential. This anime has the most interesting characters so far this season. The plot is nothing that great, but it has a lot of potential. It will either turn out awesome, or will just be some almost forgetable show, but I want to see how it will turn out.
Fractale: I don't know why I picked this anime, the plot doesn't seem very interesting, nor do the characters, but it has a good feel to it. I can't say much more about it, since the plot still haven't kicked in, but it has potential. Also, the backgrounds look beautiful.
I'm also watching Yumekui Merry but since I picked it kind of late I won't write about it. Feel free to add recommendations! ;)
