This is me. I've just started watching anime, mainly becouse of my interest in non-american animation movies. I like animation movies and series that seperates themselves from the american childish themes, and deals with something more important(in my opinion). I'm not very into anime yet, but know a lot about experimental animation for adults from France, Germany, Czech Rep. and Russia.

Thank you. ^_^

No, I didn't read the comic books by Jodorowsky, but if I have a chance, I will check them.

Fantastic Planet is really a timeless masterpiece!

For surrealist animation:

Japanese: Angel's Egg, Atama Yama, Bavel No Hon, Cat Soup, The Diary of Tortov Roddle, Franz Kafka's A Country Doctor, Glassy Ocean, Kaiba, Kemonozume, Mind Game, Neo Tokyo (First OVA), URSA minor BLUE... There's more, but they are probably my favourites... Anything by Masaaki Yuasa of Koji Yamamura...

Non-Janapese: Works by Piotr Dumala, Suzan Pitt, maybe Phil Mulloy... And I see that you already know Jan Svankmajer and Quay Brothers, but I don't like that much stop animation... I watched Faust by Jan Scankmajer and I planned to watch Alice... And for Quay Brothers, I didn't watched anything yet, but I plan to watch something someday from them.

The Triplets of Belleville was great too! :P I'll check the other Non-japanese animations you mentionned (already know Norman McLaren too)

It's great to see someone who share similar tastes with me! If you too have any recommandations for anything surrealist, you're welcomed. ^_^

Heisann! Eg fulgte ein link du la ut på Imdb, i ein tråd på Berserk forumet (trur eg?)

om andre voksne anime-serier. Anyways, ville berre seie takk for linken, det var ei relativt diggbar side det her.
