My life... Well, where should I start? Yeah, I remember...
It was a stormy night, it was cold, too, by the way, but mostly it was stormy and it was dark. Did I say it was night? Really? Ok, so then I should go on with the stormy night... So in that stormy night which was very cold, dark and so on, yeah, that night was nothing like that night when I was born. How I can remember the night of my birth? It's a mystery, isn't it? Every mystery-story needs a mystery, doesn't it? So... To come back to the really importang matter: Well, I really didn't know at that point what an amazing story would unfold because of how un-stormy that night has been, but it was really cold, that part was true. So it all began with...
Ah, I skip that part because of space-issues... Read my biography after it's printed, there I will explain that part in more detail.
And after surviving all those kinds of adventures, time-travels, life threatening situations, alien invasions, secret agency missions, battles with some kind of lame but typical villains, mecha fights, boring school lessons, thousands of peaceful hours of sleep, household duties and finally coming to the current point, I registered at this site called anime-planet... and well, ask for the details if you want to know more ;-) ...

That was the funny part so here some real facts: I study German language and literature at the university in Leipzig right now. I also study Sanskrit currently and I have one semester Chinese behind me (but it took too much time to learn it so I dropped it).
I've been watching animes since five years now and have seen plenty of series that are good and some that aren't. Anyway it's my simple like for good stories (also the reason why I want to specialize in German literature) that keeps me watching animes.
So... But for the rest you really have to ask ^^ .

Lodoss War(response to your question)...
Most people prefer the original OAV, but I prefer the 27 episode Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. It is based directly on the Lodoss manga(unlike the OAV) and leads into the Legend of Chrystania anime. Looking at your list, most shows you rank highest are not remotely like this, except I see you like Guin Saga so you might like Lodoss.
It is somewhat childish, but not very silly, just highly highly melodramatic. What I like best about it, is that even though the characters roughly break up into good guys and bad guys, it is not that simple. A lot of people find themselves rooting for the "bad guys", who in many ways are better people. That is what I find most interesting about it. Also there are many battles where different character types join up and fight opposing gangs, in a sort of Final Fantasy(the games) or D&D sort of way.
The show starts at a pretty good pace, so the first couple episodes should give you a good idea of whether you might like it.
Also, I see on your profile that you have only watched anime for 3 years but have watched an astounding amount of shows so far(over 4 months worth!). Do you do anything except watch anime?
Hi!
Yeah I also would say that The End of Evangelion goes a bit too far with their imagination but its definitely better than the first ending - I don't even know whether you might call it an ending. But anyway, I like NGE! - In my opinion it's the best scifi - story I've seen until now (although I don't like mecha). The movies of GitS were also great especially the style of drawing (all these details ...) and I would say that it's less psychological than NGE ... . I think NGE is a cult anime in Germany ... for me entertainment is important but sometimes I want to watch some great experimental animes, how about you? NGE is my favorite anime because of the mood, the music, the characters and also the circumstances the anime was produced under.
I wonder, was 'The Legend of the Galactic Heroes' broadcasted in Germany? - I think there was something similar to that on VIVA ... but I can't remember.
Well then ...,
see ya!
Yo!
Amazing, you've already watched a lot of anime ... . You've some interesting anime-list - there're a lot titles of anime I've never heard before. Would you mind if I add you as friend?
Gruß,

Morgoth, Morgoth, Morgoth, whatz up, degga ^^ !
Long time no see!
Well, no wonder, I've been extremly busy lately and I still am... so much things to do ^^
It sucks ... because that means my time for Animes and Inet-Forums is growin' shorter and shorter ..
Now I looked at your site and find that picture in your signature and it draw my interest ... which Anime is that boy from?
best regards,
Miyh !
Konnichiwa!
Guin Saga... no 2nd season really? I looked around but couldn't find an aswer to that. If so, thats awful.
I notice you have seen FF7: Last Order but not FF7: Advent Children. If that is not a mistake, I recommend Advent Children. The soundtrack is done by the same person who did Guin Saga, Nobuo Uematsu.
Also, I see you like Fighting Spirt(Hajime No Ippo) a lot. I recommend watching Baki the Grappler. Both are excellent shows, and they are very similar. Baki, however is about mixed martial arts instead of boxing(there a a couple boxers in it).
Anyway, keep up the marathon anime watching!
