Perhaps it's not fair of me to review this when I've dropped it, but I thought I should share the reasons why I did so. Please still give this manga a try despite what you read in this review because you might like it; after all this is purely subjective and based on my own preferences. EDITED 18/7/14 Black Haze is an interesting webtoon. It's, from what I hear, a challenge webtoon on Naver not an 'official' one and you can really tell just from the first chapter. The awkwardness of the first few chapters and really everything in general didn't draw me in and I had actually considered dropping it. However it does hit its stride around the 11th chapter and got better every single following one until I can safely say this is one of my most anticipated webtoons to read. The art is truly spectacular; the characters are all beautifully designed and very pleasant to look at. However in my opinion the story and the characters really dragged the whole manga down. I'm not quite sure whether it is the author's fault or the scanlators' but I found it hard to make sense of things. And when I did, I really didn't care. I love this series. It's hard to say why; it isn't very popular and there isn't anything special about it. There is the typical hot-blooded shounen hero who is a little ehh... on the IQ scale but is actually a hidden genius at the game and his dark-haired talented rival who initially clash in everything but gradually realises that they have things in common and work extremely well together to pulverise their enemies.
