Hey guys and gals! . Things to know about me?  I enjoy anime, Halo, reading, heavy metal, and ballroom dancing.

Although in the end, I believe every review and rating is subjective, I like to think a little bit before I rate most of the shows I've seen, and generally try to consider several different factors, although I don't have a set formula for doing so. I enjoy discussing different viewpoints about shows I've seen, with people I've met, since I think that most people have some constructive new perspectives to contribute to my thoughts about a show, whether their opinions are positive or negative.

I am always looking for new anime recommendations!  I need something fantastical, engrossing, preferably (although not necessarily) dark,  something I can become fully immersed in, something that makes me appreciate it both as a work of art and as an exercise in thought. Kara no Kyoukai left a big impression on me and, in terms of anime anyways, I haven't really moved past it since I saw it years ago. I've seen comedies, romances, dramas, and even some more fantasy/horror stuff since then, but none of it really left me satisfied. I have an ever growing list of shows that I want to watch, most of which seem mildly promising, but in the end I wonder how many more of them will be disappointments! Please, if you think you have something that I might enjoy, let me know!

Oh and, two last things. One, if I could, I would absolutely rename my "I'm not a fan of these characters" as "Wall of Hate." Thanks for encouraging me, shiftr. :p And two, what's the difference between your fancy made-to-fit background picture and mine? Mine's a screenshot. :P

Fourth episode amazing. SO good. I think it is one of the best ones yet. The dept at which they explain Shiki's awakening and why she is the way she is amazing. And you get a peak at Toukan(the red head) real power, skill, and ability. When I was watching episode two I viewed Shiki is kinda of a monster and Mikiya's love her as one sided but now I don't see it that way at all. WOW is all can say about this episode. Can't wait to see what you think of it.

I could see that. I get what you are saying about cliche. I guess for me a lot of things are cliche. :)

I hate it when you have to read the manga to get the full story. I think this anime will not be like that. After we have yet really learned about redemption or why or what Shiki is.

I don't know about not being cliche. But I think this like some other similar series I watched has something that draws the viewer in. My husband said he wasn't going to watch it because it was too graphic but yet when I play an episode he is watching right a long with me. :) SO I think like SH, Blood +, Lunar Legend, and some other dark series as much as you might want to look a way while the killer is doing their deed you can't. The animation, story, artwork, music, and characters make you watch.

I guess this story like so many other great series does a great job of drawing in the viewer and making them part of the story and the events of the story. I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes in the coming episodes

maybe... I think she killed because she got pleasure from it. The scene where she smears the blood on her lips as if it were lipstick says a lot about the way she feels about killing. Or did feel about killing.
