I just briefly went through your list and you enjoy a similar style to me but I have a pretty high standard of anime. I rate the way I do to give better ratings to smart anime with themes I like and rate decent anime really low because too many people like them for bad reasons, anyway.
You probably will like Aoi Bangaku Series, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya + the movie, ToraDora!, Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen.
Maybe I missed a few but the majority of the anime you watched genre is pretty small, psychological thrillers and whatnot.. A few more that I recommend you take a look at.
Look at: Lucky Star, Neon Genesis Evangelion (ask why if you don't understand why I recommended this), Nodame Cantabile, Darker than Black - Kuro no Keiyakusha, Spice and Wolf 1&2, Detroit Metal City, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Shigofumi, Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichnin, Kanon (2006), Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai.
Hmm that's about it, i'm a bit sad I can't come up with more cause i'm an otaku yet it's pretty small list. Anyway that should help.
Yo, thanks for the comment first off... yes I watched Ni and Kai, I thought Ni was brilliant and Kai was okay if you felt the same way then you probably watched it for much the same reasons I did. Rei is not really worth the time, the first episode is like a comedy/normal situation with the main character, from there the plot whirled and twirled and ended up nowhere with nothing happening... It's only six episodes or so, it's not the end of the world if you decide to watch it but I recommend against it.
My english is far from perfect, so sry if I made some mistakes :D
It's a bit surprising to me, that you decided to ask my opinion, lol. Thanks ^_^
I'm a big fan of all Ryukishi07's universes (like Ookami, Higurashi, Umineko etc), so if you asking my opinion, then Rei is a must-watch one. First OVA in Rei is a simple fan-service episode, that provides tons of fun with favorite characters and absolutely rediculous story. But all other OVA's in series are created in a best tradition of higu - but with less violence and more detectivness. Also, Rei have such a great OP, you must hear it! :D
In fact, my opinion is not very independent, cuz I'm a fan of higu, but if you are not afraid of a little bit different atmosphere and wanna know more 'bout Higurashi world - you must watch it.
Also, I strongly recommend you to watch Umineko no naku koro ni.
Hope it helps and thank u for question!
