Anime List Stats:

Watched: I've finished all episodes, exactly as it implies.

Watching: I am either trying to finish this anime or I am about to start it. Sometimes I put titles up to know that I am starting them next.

Want to Watch: Suggestions of anime that I have either gotten from friends, AMVs or found myself that I want to see.

Stalled: Either that an anime is not finished and is preventing me from continuing, or an anime that is finished and I plan to watch sometime.

Dropped: I have absolutely no desire to finish the series.

I rate fairly highly, so if an anime has a low rating, that means I really disliked it. I try to consider all aspects of the show before casting judgement, which is why some are rated higher even though I didn't find the series very entertaining. I try to think of the plot, animation, sound, story, characters, originality, and planning of the show rather than base it off of its entertainment value to me.

I know! Shoujo females tend to irritate me. There have been a few I liked, but they don't come along very often. Just for good measure, my least favorite female is Kaoru Kamiya. I hate her. I hate her. OMG I hate her. Okay, I'm better. Anyway, I did love Rosette in Chrono Crusade. She was one of the best female leads I've seen in manga...and I suppose anime.

I actually don't like Naruto for the facts that: 1. I got burnt out on it. I used to like it all right because there were some characters that I found amusing and oddly likable despite the stereotypical personalities. However, it is way too long and the plot just isn't intriguing enough to keep me watching (or reading). Though Kishimoto-san did plan it out very well. 2. I also thought it got way overrated. You are so right about people that just watch Bleach or Naruto (or, to some extent, One Piece) and think they're huge anime fans. One or two anime does not an Otaku make. I will admit that Naruto can be considered a "gateway" anime. I know some people that were like the aforementioned and eventually branched out because they enjoyed Naruto so much. It, also, did help bring anime more into the mainstream which means more licensed anime for the seasoned Otaku. Even so, there are MUCH better anime out there with more original characters and plots. (Oh, I also loved Itachi...and pretty much everyone else in Akatsuki, actually.)

About Evangelion...it is extremely out there and takes a lot of patience to follow and not everything will ever get cleared up. However (I use that word too much), if you like deep plots and anime that have meaning in almost everything Evangelion is perfect. The character development in the original show is so amazing. I actually enjoyed doing the outside research to understand some of the allusions and symbolism in that show and I could go on about it for hours. I love it! XD

Understandable. I'll give pretty much anything a shot; the only major genre that i tend to have a meh response to is shoujo (unless it's CLAMP).

I know! I was extremely aggitated to find that Code Geass had the number one rank. I would rather see Naruto in that spot than CG and I'm not a big Naruto fan either. I just found it to be a rather bland show. I wish i could see what everyone loves about it, but that's never going to happen.

So, (I think I ask about every Otaku I know this question) have you ever seen Neon Genesis Evangelion? That one is my favorite anime because there is so much to it. Symbolism is fun :D
