NOW FOR A STORY THAT STARTED LONG, LONG AGO ABOUT HOW I CAME TO LOVE ANIME AND MANGA..... At the age of 5, the first anime I watched was Sailor Moon. I woke up at 5 am every weekday to see the showing of the new episode. (Well to be technical it was the showing of the newly dubbed episode.) There were many more to follow in the coming years; Sailor Moon R, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragon Ball GT, Pokemon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, InuYasha, Hamtaro, and Shaman King. At the time I did not know what these particular shows were called until I reached high school. That's when I came to the realization that I had watched anime throughout my childhood. So I didn't understand what the big deal was about people at school messing with those who openly expressed their interest in anime and manga. I wanted to know what why there was such judgement so I started talking to friends about it. I then came to learn that quite a few of my friends enjoyed anime and manga as well. One friend suggested I try reading manga to understand what the hype was about. That manga dear friends was Death Note (that's where my love of psychological thrillers started too), the only one I was actually aware of existing in the manga world. I found just as much enjoyment in this new discovery as I did from watching anime in the years before. That's when I decided I wanted to read more and get back into watching anime. One of my guy friends took notice of this and asked if I would read a manga series with him so we could talk about it together. He decided on W Juliet. Which now isn't exactly my cup of tea but it was a pretty amusing series and discussing each volume with him afterwards was pretty fun. Then he asked if I would like to watch anime with him as well and I agreed since I had no idea where to start since my beloved childhood anime. We browsed through the shows available on the Anime Network at his house and I decided I'd try ToLoveRu (might I say, a very funny anime). Then the next time I went over to his house, my brother and another friend (my neighbor who's basically a brother from another mother) accompanied me after I told them all about how they've watched anime before all these years and it wouldn't kill them to try watching this one I was just introduced to. They basically fell in love with it and we ended up meeting up at his house once a week when the next episode came out. We watched Highschool of the Dead, Golgo 13, and so many more, since well, it was the summer of 2010 (best year for advanced animation in my opinion). That guy friend turned into my boyfriend at the time and we still had our little group of four hang out every week. Eventually it turned into an everyday thing since we realized we could also watch anime online. Since then we have shared this interest with many more people and still get together to watch anime as much as possible. For the rest of the time, we are on our own. THE END.
P.S. I love Lelouch
