Welcome to my profile.
Suppose I should talk about myself a bit here. I've been an anime fan for about 16 years now. I grew up watching stuff like Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing and My Neighbor Totoro (original I know.) Not sure if I actually knew what anime technically was back then though... I didn't really get into the whole anime craze until I started watching Inu-Yasha.
My favourite genres nowadays would be psychological mindfucks and comedies, but I'll watch pretty much anything (which I'm starting to regret thanks to Seikon no Qwaser...)
Some of my other interests/hobbies include drawing, listening to music (mostly Witch House) and old horror movies...
These are a few of my favourite things...
Favourite anime: Paranoia Agent
Favourite TV show: Futurama
Favourite movie: The Nightmare Before Christmas
Favourite character: Akio Kawazu
Favourite Band: Crystal Castles

I'm really excited for it (if my plans don't fall through). It doesn't look as if it will be a great investment for my future, but I really have no other interests so I guess it's best to get some sort of education after school rather than sit around for a couple of years doing nothing. If I learn I could at least be a freelance translator or English teacher or something. I heard those are pretty common over there. And I wish I could've started learning about 12 years ago whenever I could've just acquired it from listening/seeing it around me. Haha :p But that aside, I think being able to read an original manga would be cool. Very satisfying, too. Watching anime without the subs could also be a plus :p
*Spoiler-filled response to some comment you may or may not have made*
Freezing is an abominable mess of big-breasted and genetically manipulated girls, aliens who are far too irrelevant for the plot to work and random sexual abuse over the course of 12 episodes. Yet, people seem to appreciate it considerably more than I could ever imagine...
I had a hard time enjoying the second half of Death Note, mainly because I detested the new characters that were introduced. How could anyone accept Near as the successor to L? L is an eccentric and awesome genius that everyone falls in love with while Near is an annoying brat. But of course, despite my aggressive approach, all of this is subjective. ^_^
Thank you for the warm welcome! ^_^ I appreciate it!
Very true. Then again, it's Yoko Kanno we're talking about ^_^
Konnichiwa!
Oh, and I hope you make it to Japan someday!
...I always forget to put something in my comments..Hah:)
