Overall, I used to love this franchise, but I think I'm dropping it now. I really enjoyed the first season and the movie, but looking back, this may have been naivety. The way exposition was handled back then made it seem like anime exposition was finally solved by having this "show your hand" pact system, but I now realise that it's only highlighting the problem. I miss when Familia Myth was about people becoming heroes and trying to conquer the dungeon. Ever since the start of season 2, this series has basically just been focusing on building Bell's harem with practically nothing of note happening with the dungeon, and this season is even worse. The intelligent monster plot (introduced in episode 1 of this season) is absolutely the worst thing to happen to this series. How to tell if you should watch this movie: If you like things with no tangible plot If you like characters with no personality If you like every cringy anime cliché If none of these sound appealing to you, save your time. This movie is trash.
