(IM CURRENTLY EDITING MY PAGE SO PLEASE BARE WITH ME FOR NOW)

New Profile: Well i WAS updating my profile but now the new design is here, i have to update it again xD so first, no the banner isn't staying as it is i just put it there so it's not blank, and i will fix my layout so no it's no going to look so messy :) will be a week or so though, i am busy with work atm ._.

Hiya every, welcome to my profile, im Madoka and hope you like the page :) My bio can be found at the bottom, i have done a quick move around and will be featuring anime above myself because, it's what we want to see anyway. This is a new layout im working on so sorry if it's not as bright as my old one.

Featured highlight explanasion: below you will notice a new segment to my page (or not notice it's new if your new xD) i have named Featured Highlighted series, which will feature any series (new or old, likely not airing as they should be finished) which i have watched (normally recently but others might appear) which i recommend strongly, with reasons for such. Im hoping this will bring attention to series which deserve it and encourage me to work hard with my thinking hat, this section will be updated randomly, sometimes it could be weekly, others monthly, if i don't watch anything really great it might stay the same for a month (which then i will find a older one). It will normally feature a "Featured Highlight" series and sometimes a runner up "Runner up Highlight" (not always), and sometimes a Featured movie (not always).

Featured Highlight series Rank 1 Of This Month/Week (June 19+):
Suisei no Gargantia
Rated 5 Stars
Full Trailer (see bottom for Shorter TraileR)

Suisei no Gargantia is one amazing series which has slipped through my net for so long which is a little sad to learn but may i tell you now it is one amazing series. The series focuses on mech pilot Ledo and his Mech Chamber, The series is based in the future after humanity had left earth and is on the move in space fighting an enemy called the Avalon, After a battle with them Ledo helps buy time for his squad to evacuate by buying time, he is knocked by a blastwave through space and one day awakens to earth. Earth has re-evolved and now live on the oceans, Ledo must learn to merge the new cultures and understand earthlings with the help of Chamber.

Now i wont deny im a fan of space but you might be thinking "Mechs?" well i did at first, im not a mech fan, some of you might not like space either, well don't worry this isn't about space, it's a story of someone stranded on a planet, the story has some strong feelings as we follow Ledo, Chamber and Amy (the main person who makes him welcome on earth and helps him along, a friend). The story covers some sad moments as Ledo learns of the Avalon and tries to merge with earth. It's never easy to explain what makes a series great but i assure you this one is worth the time, remember im not a Mech fan and i loved it (it's not about Mech's by the way, Chamber is mainly a translater for Ledo to understand people, he does have plot points though), It's full of great writing, well written characters, interesting plot and lots happening, the general feel the series generates is one of which i might say is quite amazing.

I don't often throw a 5 star around now days but this for sure earned it, everyone time i finished a episode i couldn't wait for the next and was real sad to see the series end.

One of the best "Person in a strange world" genres i have watched in a long time!
Deserbes Rank 1 hands down.

EDIT This SPACE!!!

Here was full of content recently, it will be again shortly, i will slowly continue to update my profile page and rebuild this Segment!

Recomendations:

This is just a quick note on how i recomend stuff and how i like to be different fro others in this area. It's common for people who recommend stuff to only do it because shared genre types or minor things. so someone might say "if you like romance you will enjoy this because it's got some high school romance" or "these two are alike because both share a love story between a xxx guy and a tsundere girl", or "you will like these two because they contain gore", i don't just do this but actually explain what is alike. I never recommend by genre alone and rare link two series just because they contain a killer or gore or whatever. So if two series Genre match i wont recommend unless they are alike.

Of course rec's have to be short so i try to keep it short, "you might like xxx series because xxx and yyy share a similar plot and develop in a similar fasion, both contain a focus on mystery solving or similar comedy" is the sort of thing (in short) to expect, of course a little more detail will be present, that's just a example so i can't say much.

So just remember, i rec by how similar a series is and what aspects are alike, not that ganre the series is or if it is gorey or not. To end here, thanks for reading my page and thanks if you have made use of any of my recs :)

Ah yes, the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. It was a very awesome movie indeed. The "alternate world" type of situation is pretty fun to analyze and we got to see new sides to the characters. Keeping an open mind about what type of movie gets created is important as well. It seems like people sometimes fall into a trap where they expect a type of ending to happen based on what they want to see, and when it differs from that prediction, they think it wasn't as good a movie it seems like. Letting the creator guide the story and accepting it is important to do. Like you said, whatever happens with the new Psycho Pass movie and second season. I'll accept it.

That is true. It does seem like a strange question I would ask. I can't think of any anime where I thought the filler was good enough to stand up alongside the canon. The extensive thriller seen in shows like Naruto/Bleach is a clear example to even people who haven't seen the anime or just part of it shows how damaging it can be to a show. Personally I'd rather that they just went off air until the manga went further ahead and then resume where they left off 3-6 months where they were. Watching other anime during that time is a good solution to wait out the hiatus. Though there is the type of filler in Gunslinger Girl where they extend on the backstory of Elsa. While in the manga it was only a small arc. And didn't have much detail on her. It deviates from the manga naturally by adding something, though I didn't mind it (I did see the anime before the manga and didn't know it was filler at the time so maybe that's a factor). It did seem to add more to her character though which isn't entirely a bad thing, and the important points about the character remained intact in the anime.

2 out of 3 people dislike it? Wow. I wonder if those people just don't like slice of life in general or not. I could see that if someone doesn't like the genre then its hard to connect with that type of thing. Anyways, it is inspirational overall since Ohana seems to have a strong will to get through difficult relationship, and work issues.

I got the Steins;Gate VN recently to get the limited edition preorder bonuses. And it is very good. I planned to see the anime at somepoint since it is related to Chaos;Head and done by Nitroplus. Though I never got around to it. Playing the source material is more exciting though since I'll get to see the different endings. Even though it doesn't have gameplay, I expect it to take at least 50 hours until I finish the 1st playthrough.

It seems like Visual Novels in general have extremely epic music in them. Even when compared to anime/video game music. I'm not sure why that is, though it is easy to be addicted to the sound gallery after finishing the game and just listening to the music there.

FPS games and DLC always seem to go hand in hand these days. I used to play a couple of FPS games back then, but I stopped playing them a long time ago. I don't think my dislike of them is because of what the gameplay itself is about, but it seems like FPS represents always online multiplayer and short campaign gameplay (which should be single player as the normal game) which brings nasty players into the game. As well as exploiting the customers through disc locked content like you said. If a game managed to put in great story elements in a fantasy world in a FPS, I might enjoy such a game. But FPS games as they are now represent a lot about the modern gaming industry which I dislike. Fantasy and RPGs are where its at. It feels fun to develop your character(s) and experience a great story and world.

I think I read a little bit about that story when I was researching the message boards about Aselia. Sounds like similar to Demonbane, it got stuck in development hell. They haven't said much about it it seems like. I read a post on the message boards that the progress of games as of Feb 4 2014, that Seinarukana "Translation is mostly done. Extensive Testing on the Horizon" My guess is that means the game has to go through beta testing, to make sure that the english words run smoothly, throughout all possible routes and scenarios, and the battle system works properly. Since they've released Steins;Gate, hopefully that means they'll focus on the other games more from this point. Demonbane was apparantly delayed for several years, though when I found Jast, I was able to get it so I didn't experience that wait.

Even if Seinarukana takes another year or so to come out. I'm sure the wait will be worth it. Better late than never. Just the throught of playing another game similar to Aselia is exciting. I can't think of any games that have a system similar to Aselia's.

My guess is that Super Hard is identified by red save files, since normal = white, hard = blue, and clear data = yellow. I would like to see more details about my save files though. Since I'll normally make new save files for a boss fight or event I enjoyed, and aside from the chapter, I can't remember why I made the file. My guess is that technical limitations back around 2001 made it difficult to make a big save file system.

It is fun when new game + mode increases the difficulty to match the endgame characters. You know that you're much stronger, but your enemies have also gotten stronger than you to keep the challenge going. I was going to try and get SS ranks again like I did in my 2nd playthrough, though it isn't practical with the enemies as they are now. Incinerate is pretty devastating to many of my squads that I have to sacrifice offense to block it. And if I want to get a good rank like S or A I can't spend too much time training. Lucikly Orpha knows Incinerate as well now. And Leap Attack IV/Heaven's Sword isn't too bad for the etrangers and green spririts. Though I imagine Fury II is coming around the corner which will bring much pain lol.

Hm, that is strange that you're missing a Kaori cg. Which one are you missing? It looks like I got all of them assuming there aren't anymore hidden ones that go to the same slot. I might have an idea on which one is an optional scene.

Yup, there is no justification behind Makishima's crimes. He represents the opposite of what the Sibyl System is. And Kougami to an extent I suppose. It makes it harder to relate to antagonists that don't have justification. In an anime like Higurashi, it was mostly clear why everyone of the characters who went on a killing spree did what they did. Even without taking Hinamizawa syndrome into account. I can't see it in Makishima, which makes the characters seem like completely different type of people.

It is true that Shun is a bastard. It felt good to think I would be killing him in the Sargios capital. Though I suppose the main thing that relates Shun to Yuuto is how they both love Kaori. Their love manifested in very different forms. Since Shun's was the type of twisted love. Attacking her when he wants to "protect her". Though he was being consumed by his sword throughout the whole game so its tough to say whether his actions by that point belonged more to Shun or to 'Oath' When he is completely consumed by his sword near the end though he almost seems pitable, despite all the horrible things he's done all for "saving the world". It was like Shun died when Shun the Ruling Sword emerged. They felt like completely different characters. Shun is a tricky character, I do dislike him, but at the same time, its almost like I feel sorry for him. I'm not sure what I mean by that.

It also seems like you've seen Mai-Hime and Mai-Otome according to your anime list. They were pretty awesome, they were both similar in terms of the character (apperances) and story. Though they had their own elements that stood out. I think the main reason I watched them was that I found out Yuki Kajiura composed the soundtrack in them. Though it is also one of the cool mahou shoujo shows out there like Nanoha and Madoka. It felt hard to get into Mai-Otome at first since I wasn't sure about the new protagonist, and how they had Mashiro's personality take a total 180 degree turn. Though they grew on me it seemed like. I'll discuss more details in my next reply.

Well the thing w/ Hanasaku in terms of for the general anime community, for some reason people just don't seem to like solo feature SoLs. Like u figure the strength of this type of show is the characters but if theres only one that really matters how good can it be? And Hanasaku proves this notion dead wrong. People like these more group/ club style SoLs eventhough they're shittier cause u can like pick and choose which characters u like/ care about. What can u do *shrug*.

I certainly am a big fan of PA Works, I mean they just know how to make really thoughtful shows that are more about the substance than the sizzle. They've kinda lagged a bit in some of their more recent offerings specifically RDG and Nagi I wasn't a fan of, so I was kinda happy that they were taking a season off and focusing on this Glasslip project. It looks like it should be they're next big thing post-Hanasaku.
