Hello my name is David.
I began watching anime sometime in 1997. Couldn't watch but so much because I was unaware of fansubs for a year or so. Eventually found out about fansubs and aquired a few for a couple of series on VHS. In 2001 I got online with my own PC and started to aquire more, stumbled upon APN on DC sometime after (not sure when exactly).
A couple of members in APN with outsiders began work on a fansub group. At that time I drifted out of actively being on the DC network because I was going to try and use what bandwidth I had to help serve the fansubs being made by those people (Chaotixubs).
Basically after that time I began staying on IRC and eventually became part of the Chaotixubs crew working on Manga and a few side anime projects. Eventually aquired raws for Master Mosquiton '99 and pushed for us to work on that and we started to slowly release it. At episode 13 our translator was called for active duty in Iraq so that effectively ended our working on the series and besides the fact another group had aquired and ripped and released the old VHS fansubs of the series.
After that I started to lose interest in fansubbing and soon became addicted to World of Warcraft. I still hung out in various IRC channels but played WoW quite a large amount of the time for awhile till I recently quit over a month ago. Now I'm hanging around watching anime, reading, working on making wallpapers again, and looking for a job.
