about me

New and Updated

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen. I decided to change my three year old introduction to better reflect me. So I welcome you to my profile page and hope you take the time to browse a bit.

I am a university student here at the University of Toronto. Pakistani-Canadian citizenship. I greatly enjoy discussing things I love which include but are not limited to religion, politics, anime, books, economy, business, girls and games.

I love anime (obviously) and i like any anime that can get me thinking or otherwise has a great story to it. Not too much a fan of romance animes especially if it includes strangers-who-never-met-before-running-away-with-each-other-after-a-week  ("Saikano" for example). I do enjoy anime with references to religion and the like in them or if they include government conspiracies, evil cults etc. Started out like everybody else. Saw DragonBall on YTV back in the day but didn't realise what it was until a few years ago. Then I got hooked. Anime is like a vortex of awesome. Once you come in, pretty much nothing can bring you back out.

Anime > Hollywood

This is my very first AMV. It was really noobish and took me a hell of a long time. Check it out and tell me what you think! Rants, criticism and thumbs up all welcome. (I had to use subtitled scenes, i know they suck monkey balls but i have an internet limit to worry about and i already had the subtitled series on my PC so please bear with it)

*SPOILER ALERT!!!*

My Second AMV is up! I believe it is much better than my first. I still had cropping issues but overall it wasn't too bad...i hope :P Give it a look! Its a Multi-anime and thus contains spoilers etc etc.

Hope to make friends, meet people, discuss opinions and enjoy myself. Oh and i love talking about religion, world issues and politics.

P.S. I try to be a religious and sort of hardcore-no-mercy type of guy who hates fluff, but i have to say this... NARUHINA FTW!!!!

You want to watch Jyu-Oh-Sei!! I really enjoyed that one. Hopefully you will too.

Yes, Evony took patience. Especially with the "real-time" building. haha

I checked out Heros of Newearth. It looks neat. I might enjoy it, but like I said before, my comp isn't decked out for that. I'd probably get frustrated with the game freezing on me. lol

That is a really unique perspective you have about debates. "A test to see who lasts the longest without letting go of his/her rational thinking and instead fall into extreme emotions." Wow. Very interesting. I think most people tend to focus more about the subject being debated rather than the direction of the debators themselves. So are you one of those people who says things to get people riled up? And try to push them to the extreme emotions part? People like that honestly urk me. Its like they don't really care what is being discussed. That their sole purpose for being there is just to get everyone's feathers ruffled. Its some sort of sick enjoyment - watching others become frustrated. Though I don't think you're like that because you did say you enjoyed the "knowledge/technical" part of debates.

Okay, so here are some recommendations from Ted Dekker. The first two are thriller novels. The last one is a series (cause I know you like that. ^_^) If you want his complete bibliography you can go here: http://www.teddekker.com/ You can find complete synopses of each book here: http://www.teddekker.com/library/

*Three - synopsis : "Enter a world where nothing is what it seems. Where your closest friend could be your greatest enemy. Kevin Parson is driving his car late one summer day when, suddenly, his cell phone rings. A man who identifies himself as Slater speaks in a breathy voice: You have exactly three minutes to confess your sin to the world. Refuse, and the car you’re driving will blow sky high..."

*Blink of an Eye - synopsis : "The future changes in the blink of an eye . . . or does it?   Miriam is a Saudi princess promised to another, a pawn in a political struggle that could shift the balance of power in the Middle East.   Seth is a certified genius with a head full of numbers, a life..."

*The Circle Series (consisting of 4 books). I bought the first three combined in a single hardback book (Black, Red, and White). Its completely unique in that they are designed to be read in any order. Black first, White first, Red first. It doesn't matter, you'll still understand everything. I find this concept extremely intriquing and to be able to write and plan out how this could work is genius. The last book is Green. I haven't gotten there yet lol. So I don't know if that one can be read in any order as well.

That's all for now.

Wow that is a bummer that Canada didn't accept some of your credits. Sorry to hear that. But now its over and you're going to college. Have you figured out where you're going to go? I know you said you applied to like 6.

I'm taking a break from college and working as a CNA in a nursing home.

Don't worry about replying late. I'll be replying late to you too. So take your time. :)

Hey, so I finally finished Persona 4 review. I l spent nearly 4 hours writing it and it was by far the most difficult review so far. I tried to shorten it a bit but it's still one of my longest reviews (I swear they get longer with every time).

Honestly, I would consider doing a video review (just so audience doesn't get bored by lenght of my written reviews lol) if not my dreadful accent.

Oooh that IS a long comment. lol But I like long comments :)

Give me some more time to reply to that. Got off work and have been up for about 17 hours. I want to give you a nice, juicy response so I'm going to wait until I'm rested. lol

Ahh, I've never played BioShock 1 but I did beat the 2nd game and the ending was really emotional. The whole game - building on atmosphere. The steam-punk setting, the darkness and the soundtrack. Ever played Deus Ex: Human Revolution? I liked the futuristic setting and moral choices in society.

As for HD collection. It's basically a gaphic update with couple extras thrown in. There's smoothing, proper resolution for modern TVs, etc. I really loved how Snake Eater looked. That game was beautiful at the time it came out already but PS3 definitely improvs over PS2 cuz PS2 had a lot of blurring. HD collections never change story because that's not their point. Though one of the game called Peace Walker is a PSP port. That game used to be PSP-only and I'm glad that I finally get the chance to play it.

I wanted to add something about MGS4 but seeing how long this comment would turn out I might as well write a blog about it.

Heh, well now I have bigger motivation to write the review :) Still need to focus and get those chaotic thoughts on paper ._.Though it would be interesting to read another review by you :P

Also MGS fan? :) Recently picked up MGS HD collection for my PS3. Already beat MGS3 again which is easily my favourite game in the franchise and now I'm playing Peace Walker. Man, it feels good to play engaging single player. The games are more focused on multi-player these days and nothing but generic FPS or TPS come out now >:(
