I just saw your comment on the VivisQueen review of Angel Sanctuary. I agree with you- I said this:
"When I first started watching anime, my eye caught this toitle and thought, "How neat! Powers, immoratility, and wings! I want to see that!"
The first anime that I ever saw was Princess Mononoke (Fabulous - would have made an awesome series too, I think).
After watching Angel Sanctuary I decided I was an anime lover. I really liked the three episodes. However, I was, indeed, quite pissed off that it ended so abruptly as well. I agree with many of the points you made in your review, but I don't think it deserves a 3/10 overall; maybe a 5 or 6, but not a 3."
Aside from that, I read your profile and saw you asked for suggestions. Have you tried Kaiji? It is quite dark, and all the characters are grownups. Ignore the fact that it LOOKS lie a card game- it is not. Also, have you tried Mnemosyne? It is a dark anime as well, although there is one "sexed up" childlike character, I think you'd like it never the less.
BTW, after looking at your "watching page", I just found Hakuouki: Shinsengumi.... and took a quick look at it. I'm already liking the animation, for starters, and have added it to my list of "want to watch". Thanks!
