Welcome to my profile!
I'm a regular college student from Brazil who, among other things, likes to watch anime. Ok, that's enough. I'm now going to tell you how anime began to be a word on my dictionary.
As a child, I was fascinated to watch cartoons on TV (as every other child), but there was one specific type that hooked me immediately – anime. At that time, I couldn't obviously distinguish ordinary cartoon from anime. In my mind, every and each cartoon was either brazilian or american.
In 2007, this old friend of mine told me that this is japanese and there's more. He throwed at me the title "Naruto". At the time I didn't even check it. Some time later he said "Love Hina". I checked it in an internet cafe and at first I watched reluctantly cause it wasn't in my mother language as the other I was used to, but later the language grew on me and I caught up with the series in a flash. The scene in the hot spring must have awakened my sukebe powers. But I didn't have a pc and internet connection. Later on, I found LH downloads and it began. I usurped the school's bandwith like no one ever before.
By and by, however, this interest began to wane after I get into the videogame stuff, but then another friend re-introduced me to anime by recommending me to watch Death note which later on set me down to Code Geass. At the age of 13, I would follow the weekly releases of the Naruto anime, as well as delving into other modern series, being well known ones like Soul Eater and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, to more obscure ones such as Uninhabited Planet Survive. Since then, I've expanded in my taste of anime, mostly favoring action and drama series.
Nowadays, it is somewhat harder to get around to this hobby so I've been basically just keeping up with airing anime shows, but feel free to reccomend me some series because if it's good I'll certainly watch it in spite of the time it might take.
