College student who wastes most of her life thinking about fictional characters. I like all genres but I'm not big on episodic, monster-of-the-week, sports, or slice-of-life.

I'm thinking of going through and reevaluating my ratings.

Funniest anime I’ve seen: Ghost Stories

Most romantic (or in this case lovey-dovey) anime I’ve seen: Fushigi Yuugi

Saddest anime I’ve seen: Clannad After Story

Most dramatic anime I’ve seen: Elfen Lied (story wise), Ef Tales of Memories (animation wise)

Most actiony anime I’ve seen: Fairy Tail

Boringest anime I’ve seen: Yami to boushi to hon no Tabibito

Shortest anime I’ve seen: Hairy Tale (1 minute)

Longest anime I’ve seen: Dragon Ball series

Scariest anime I’ve seen: Ghost Hunt

Weirdest anime I've seen: Cat Soup

Anime with the most nudity: Sekirei

Anime with most character deaths: Code Geass

VAs I've Met:

Vic Mignogna

Johnny Yong Bosch

Christopher R. Sabat

Todd Haberkorn

Monica Rial

Cherami Leigh

Stephanie Sheh

Alexis Tipton

Greg Ayres

Things I love:

Stories with meaning/sybolism, Examples: Clannad After story (still trying to understand that one fully), Naruto (there is some), Wolf's Rain (which is mostely symbolic, at least to me (only because I am such a wolf freak which is why it makes me so sad)), Avatar the Last Airbender (lots of meaningfullness there), kick-ass women (Alice from Resident Evil, Alice from American McGee's Alice, Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), anything with wolves, characters with developement, psychological stories, and fantasy.

Things I don't like:

Stupid people (Paradise Kiss, Loveless, some side peoples in Strawberry Panic) Stories that have endings such as them waking up and it all being a dream and meaningless (first Pokemon movie).

Some Favorite Characters Not listed:

Larka (The Sight), Zuko (Avatar the Last Airbender), Squall (FFxiii), Vivi (FFix), Serah (FFxiii), Noel (FFXiii-2), and Cheshire Cat (American McGee's Alice), and Fredrick (Eternal Sonata).

As for the characters on my love list, the list if not absolute. I go back and forth about how picky I should be about adding someone to it. Sometimes I feel like I should add anyone I "like" then I feel like, no I should only add people I "love." As for my custome favorite list these are characters my favorites out of those on my love list. Similarly, my custome hate list are those characters I hate the most out of those marked as hated.

Some Favorite Couples No order:

I have thus decided that my favorite couple of all couples is Kuro/Fai. I will probablly create a blog explaining why.

Kurogane/Fai (Tsubasa),Oz/Gil (Pandora Hearts), Soul/Maka (Soul Eater),Naruto/Sakura (Naruto),Lelouch/Shirley (Code Geass), Tamahome/Miaka (Fushigi Yuugi), Inuyasha/Kagome (Inuyasha), Tomoya/Nagisa (Clannad), Ikuto/Amu (Shugo Chara), Cloud/Tifa (Final Fantasy VII),Zack/Areith (Final Fantasy VII), Fakir/Ahiru (Princess Tutu),Yuuri/Wolfram (Kyou Kara Maoh), Ichigo/Orihime (Bleach), Renji/Rukia (Bleach), Nowaki/Hiroki (Junjou Romantica), Jellal/Erza (Fairy Tail), Natsu/Lucy (Fairy Tail), Gajeel/Levy (Fairy Tail), Mystigen/Wendy (Fairy Tail), Allegretto/Polka (Eternal Sonata), Luke/Tear (Tales of the Abyss), Richard/Sophie (Tales of Graces), Jude/Milia (Tales of Xilia), Rita/Estelle (Tales of Vesperia), Flynn/Yuri (Tales of Vesperia), Homura/Madoka (Mahou Shojou Madoka Magica), Axel/Roxas/Xion (Kingdom Hearts), and Riku/Sora/Kairi (Kingdom Hearts).

As a Welcoming Committee greeter I would like to spread the word. Anyone that feels it is important that new members are greeted please become a supporter or fellow greeter here.

Hi! Thank you for the links. And thank you for adding a link for Ib as well, since I forgot to ask. Anyway, so you're moving tomorrow, huh? I wish you good luck then. Hope everything goes without a hitch.

Wow, I don't even remember was on Buffy. Or was it just that someone talked about it? I've seen Buffy several times but I don't remember at all. I recall, however, Prague being on Warehouse 13 (though I wouldn't probably recognize it if I wasn't told it's supposed to be Prague :D). It's a beautiful city (or parts of it, anyway).

I'm really glad I got to talk to you, too :). I tend to have the same problem with conversations on the net.

Ah, that sounds really annoying. I wonder how PS3 move handles the game. I wish I could try it out before making a decision whether to buy it or not. But the PS2 version is more than alright. At least I don't recall having any technical issues with it.

Personally, I like the first Mass Effect game best story-wise even though gameplay has some issues. And one DLC for the second game because I have a thing for Liara :D. I hate that the third game does its best to force you into multiplayer.

It seems to me that many people care about things that don't have any importance whatsoever. I can't really consider myself an atheist but if I was I'm not sure what good it would bring me to remove a phrase from a bank note or a coin. The same goes for differentiating between Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. And as for feelings of discrimination, as long as people meant well, I don't think I would feel any. And as for the popular belief about Wicca, people just love to badmouth things they know jack about, don't they?

Anyway, about the con :). It was actually only my second one. There's a possibility I'll go to a third one at the end of August but I'm not sure yet. It was fun though. I saw many interesting lectures about topics ranging from traditional Japanese gardens to "Fairy tales and Yaoi" (which really turned into a lecture about how to shop in sexshops. I really didn't see the connection but it was hilarious).

I got into a nice chat with a girl who lead a lecture about the latest stuff in Yuri. We exchanged contacts and now I got kind of sidetracked by playing osu! with her so I'm sorry I'm replying so late. If you play by any chance, we could have a match as well. Though I kind of suck at it :D.

Here are some pictures from the con if you want to take a look. Cosplays mainly.

Hi, sorry for the long wait. How are you doing? I spent most of the previous week at a con in Prague so I wasn't able to write back. Anything new?

Not that I ever considered myself special :D. It's probably my fault anyway. I'm only just now trying to be communicative. I was always wary of any social networking on the web and I'm not exactly the most confident person in real life either.

Ah, is Okami that hard to control on Wii? It took me more than a year before I finally found it for my ps2 (I'm not sure if PS3 wasn't out yet or if it was too expensive at the time) but I know the HD version is on PSN so I hope to get it some day.

So you bought the last Mass Effect game before you had the first two? How come?

Hmm, Shadow of the Colossus (sorry if you've already googled it) is a game where you need to battle 16 colossi in order to restore your girlfriend's life. There are no other enemies in the game, only them. You can only kill a colossus when you find the vital points on their bodies. When you find them, you climb each colossus to get to them and stab them several times with your sword. It's a really beautiful game considering it was made for PS2 but you can get the HD version for PS3 in a bundle with another game called ICO by the same studio.

Perhaps you should consider a career in advertising games because I would like to play every single one you mentioned :D. So, speaking of those links for The Witch's House and Mad Father, are you still offering?

Yeah, The Last of Us probably wouldn't suit you gameplay-wise. But it's a pity at the same time because it's really atmospheric. I was so scared through my first playthrough. Worried something will jump out at me, worried I'll run out of ammo, praying for fighting ordinary soldiers and not anything else. But there's a part that could have easily been a cutscene but it's gameplay and it surprises you and makes the game feel like much more than shooting your way through towards the ending.

It sounds like my personal beliefs go well with Unitarianism. Though my beliefs are very very vague.

Yeah, it was very much like that in my country. I heard that people have more trouble in the US if they're atheists than if they're of different religion or church, though. How much is that true?

I have seen the first episode of the second season - probably won't watch the rest. I have already read the novels and it gets better. There is a bit of a slowish start in Phantom Bullet (GGO), but the arc was much better than Fairy Dance (Alfiem). Isn't the SAO anime almost more about the girls than Kirito anyway? The first half of Aincrad was girls, and nearly of Alfiem was about Suguha.

Hey, Larka,SAO Extra Edition is pretty much just a recap (to be honest, I didn't like it that much). A lot of the scenes are reused from the series with characters' opinions on them. At the end there is roughly an episode-length of new content, though.
