College student who wastes most of her life thinking about fictional characters. I like all genres but I'm not big on episodic, monster-of-the-week, sports, or slice-of-life.

I'm thinking of going through and reevaluating my ratings.

Funniest anime I’ve seen: Ghost Stories

Most romantic (or in this case lovey-dovey) anime I’ve seen: Fushigi Yuugi

Saddest anime I’ve seen: Clannad After Story

Most dramatic anime I’ve seen: Elfen Lied (story wise), Ef Tales of Memories (animation wise)

Most actiony anime I’ve seen: Fairy Tail

Boringest anime I’ve seen: Yami to boushi to hon no Tabibito

Shortest anime I’ve seen: Hairy Tale (1 minute)

Longest anime I’ve seen: Dragon Ball series

Scariest anime I’ve seen: Ghost Hunt

Weirdest anime I've seen: Cat Soup

Anime with the most nudity: Sekirei

Anime with most character deaths: Code Geass

VAs I've Met:

Vic Mignogna

Johnny Yong Bosch

Christopher R. Sabat

Todd Haberkorn

Monica Rial

Cherami Leigh

Stephanie Sheh

Alexis Tipton

Greg Ayres

Things I love:

Stories with meaning/sybolism, Examples: Clannad After story (still trying to understand that one fully), Naruto (there is some), Wolf's Rain (which is mostely symbolic, at least to me (only because I am such a wolf freak which is why it makes me so sad)), Avatar the Last Airbender (lots of meaningfullness there), kick-ass women (Alice from Resident Evil, Alice from American McGee's Alice, Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), anything with wolves, characters with developement, psychological stories, and fantasy.

Things I don't like:

Stupid people (Paradise Kiss, Loveless, some side peoples in Strawberry Panic) Stories that have endings such as them waking up and it all being a dream and meaningless (first Pokemon movie).

Some Favorite Characters Not listed:

Larka (The Sight), Zuko (Avatar the Last Airbender), Squall (FFxiii), Vivi (FFix), Serah (FFxiii), Noel (FFXiii-2), and Cheshire Cat (American McGee's Alice), and Fredrick (Eternal Sonata).

As for the characters on my love list, the list if not absolute. I go back and forth about how picky I should be about adding someone to it. Sometimes I feel like I should add anyone I "like" then I feel like, no I should only add people I "love." As for my custome favorite list these are characters my favorites out of those on my love list. Similarly, my custome hate list are those characters I hate the most out of those marked as hated.

Some Favorite Couples No order:

I have thus decided that my favorite couple of all couples is Kuro/Fai. I will probablly create a blog explaining why.

Kurogane/Fai (Tsubasa),Oz/Gil (Pandora Hearts), Soul/Maka (Soul Eater),Naruto/Sakura (Naruto),Lelouch/Shirley (Code Geass), Tamahome/Miaka (Fushigi Yuugi), Inuyasha/Kagome (Inuyasha), Tomoya/Nagisa (Clannad), Ikuto/Amu (Shugo Chara), Cloud/Tifa (Final Fantasy VII),Zack/Areith (Final Fantasy VII), Fakir/Ahiru (Princess Tutu),Yuuri/Wolfram (Kyou Kara Maoh), Ichigo/Orihime (Bleach), Renji/Rukia (Bleach), Nowaki/Hiroki (Junjou Romantica), Jellal/Erza (Fairy Tail), Natsu/Lucy (Fairy Tail), Gajeel/Levy (Fairy Tail), Mystigen/Wendy (Fairy Tail), Allegretto/Polka (Eternal Sonata), Luke/Tear (Tales of the Abyss), Richard/Sophie (Tales of Graces), Jude/Milia (Tales of Xilia), Rita/Estelle (Tales of Vesperia), Flynn/Yuri (Tales of Vesperia), Homura/Madoka (Mahou Shojou Madoka Magica), Axel/Roxas/Xion (Kingdom Hearts), and Riku/Sora/Kairi (Kingdom Hearts).

As a Welcoming Committee greeter I would like to spread the word. Anyone that feels it is important that new members are greeted please become a supporter or fellow greeter here.

I have seen the first episode of the second season - probably won't watch the rest. I have already read the novels and it gets better. There is a bit of a slowish start in Phantom Bullet (GGO), but the arc was much better than Fairy Dance (Alfiem). Isn't the SAO anime almost more about the girls than Kirito anyway? The first half of Aincrad was girls, and nearly of Alfiem was about Suguha.

Hey, Larka,SAO Extra Edition is pretty much just a recap (to be honest, I didn't like it that much). A lot of the scenes are reused from the series with characters' opinions on them. At the end there is roughly an episode-length of new content, though.

You're such an empathetic person, aren't you :D? Well, as long as it's fun...

Ah, that's so nice. I know exactly zero female gamers in real life and you're the first one I'm at least talking to :). I'm probably more into action/RPG hybrids because I like to be able to develop my character but I get really nervous when I have too many choices :D. I grew up on Half-life though. I probably still love it the most, along with Portal :D. Otherwise, my favorite games are Okami, Mass Effect and Shadow of the Colossus.

I know I've considered buying Tales of Graces before. How's the gameplay? Always wanted to get into Final Fantasy but I like to take things from the beginning so I ran the first game on an emulator but got seriously stuck about two hours into the game :D. As for Alice, I only played the first game when I was younger. I remember it having a really cool atmoshpere.

I've never tried any horror rpg-maker game. Do you recommend any?

I don't know if you can consider it a horror game but I really love The Last of Us. It's really way outside what I usually play but I was really immersed in its story despite how many people say the story is actually the weakest part of the game.

I'm not sure how the opinions differ in terms of the anime and the manga. All I know is that it's scanlated (or used to be) by a group that does (or did) yuri exclusively and that it's supposed to be depressive.

I'm really sorry to hear that you even have to deal with such family members. As for my family, some would probably say it's not as accepting as it's being ignorant but I still consider myself one of the luckiest people on Earth.

Would you tell me what does being Unitarian-spiritualist involve? I'm not really that educated in that aspect.

Well, in the 15th century, even before the main reformist movement in Europe, there used to be a religious reformist movement called the Hussites. They waged quite a successful war against the Catholics, converting almost the whole country. Then, a lot of the fighting of the Thirty Years' War took place on our lands. Then, WWII. Then there was the communist regime. People were forced to "change religions" so many times that now we're almost an atheist country.

Sounds sophisticated :). Sounds also like a lot of work for Sianeka.

Ah, are you into gaming much? I haven't asked that before, have I? I don't watch streams often so I've probably come across pewdie only because he seems to be one of the most popular gamers - he really deserves it though :). I watched him play through about a half of Beyond:Two Souls as I was scouting the game. It was much more fun with him commenting on it than it turned out to be when I played it on my own. Kpopp's awesome in her own right though. I watched her play a part of Beyond, too, for comparison, and then her playthrough of Gone Home. Her enthusiasm about getting her game characters "get some" is really amusing and her sense of humor suits me well. Sorry, I'm babbling a bit.

Well, it's said the series will break your heart and if you're in it for the yuri subtext, it will break your heart even more. I haven't watched it all so I can't really say but the episodes I watched did have a lot of subtext, which actually scared me of things to come.

Err, did your family mean it seriously? It was all good-natured in mine. They don't really understand any of my interests so I can't exactly share but they are accepting enough. So, an idol worshiper, huh? Is your family actually religous? Are you? I'm not prejudiced in any way, it's just that my country is a country of "heretics" so I'm not that used to contact.

I'll go through the artists you listed :). I might then start annoying you with my opinions :D.

It's probably not organised, is it? Wonder if everyone gets a greeting or if someone slips through the cracks.

As for the first story, I listened to the first two minutes and I'm determined to finish it just for entertainment purposes. It feels a bit like a joint game streaming by pewdie and kpopp :D. The "Oh, god" joke was kind of neat, the rest of the two minutes were only funny because it was so awful :D.

Everything makes me cry. In movies and often in real life, which I kind of hate. But Nana has kind of a reputation in the world of subtext yuri fans which makes it scary to watch.

The app's called Wasuramoti. I think you'll find it easily. It has a dolphin icon. Played the poems in front of my family today. They accused me of attempting witchcraft :D.

I really recommend reading Basho's Oku no hosomichi or Ono no Komachi's poetry. But you can find all kinds of awesome in both classical and modern prose.

The club still sounds awesome. We have some attempts at imitating various matsuri throughout the year but I still haven't experienced any.

As for getting into Japanese culture, you could try checking out bunraku (not the movie) and yosakoi on youtube. I would like to know what you think about it :).

What kind of non-anime Japanese music do you listen to?
