Hello, my name is Laleanen and I'm an animeholic.....>_>

So "Laleanen" is sort of a long name to say and almost no one says it right. (Lah-LAY-ah-nen) That's because it's in elvish and I made it up. Yeah, I'm a nerd like that. "Laleanen" means "laughing water" (I forget if it's Sindarin or Quenya...T_T I fail as a nerd...). If it makes it easier, you can all call me "Lea-chan" instead. ("Anime! Tolkien was about as Japanese as a hot dog..." -a random fanfiction I read once)

When I'm not watching anime, I'm a Tolkien nerd. One of those that actually read the books BEFORE the movies came out, I might add. Don't ask me to play LOTR Trivial Pursuit. I will take you up on it and proceed to embarrass you thouroughly. (Conceited, much??)

I am also female. The profile picture is a bit misleading, yes, but it was so awesome (read: funny/cute/*rawr*/I <3 tea), I could not resist.

Pretty much everything you need to know about my taste in anime will show up elsewhere on my profile, so I'm not sure what else to say here...I suppose I can always add more later. And if you have any questions, I suppose you could always leave a comment.

Namarie!

Oh, and to add a bit of randomness, I recently found myself quite pleased with the beautifully shaped bell curve that reprents the ratings I have given for the 244 anime series/movies I have watched. (It looks fantastic in Excel)I was also relieved to note that my bell curve is shifted slighty toward more positive ratings which I feel helps to describe my overall enjoyment of anime. ^_^

Yes. I have heard of ef-a Tale of Memories and have almost put it on my watch list more than once. Based off of earlier conversations with people and what I can remember being told about the show it seems to be something that you would want to watch. Hopefully my memory serves me rightly. :P

It never made it to my watch list because of its romance focus with characters who look like (and might be) middleshoolers. This was my biggest complaint with Kanon. Also, some of the character animation reminded (and still reminds me) of something that I did not (and do not) like, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Maybe the hair bow bugs me but I feel like it's something more than that.

I think we might have watched thie first episode of Last Exile at a CNA meeting, but I am not 100% sure...I know I was watching it one night when you came home from work and you said that it looked interesting... :P

I knew you wanted to watch it, and I recall that we did spend a bit of time looking at screencaps, but I have not gotten around to watching it yet. It's on my very long list of things to watch, though. :-)
