Figured I'd drop off a comment while I'm here.
Always nice to meet someone who agrees with you. It looks like you've seen a lot of the kind of shows I like, so if you ever feel like talking about one of 'em, hit me up. Nothing wrong can come of discussion between Higurashi fans. :p
Or if you'd rather talk about, like, physics, that can also be arranged, haha.
Nice to meet you either way~
Dennou coil's strong point was its setting. And let me tell you, I dont think anyone who saw the show wouldv'e hated the setting. I'm just not that much of a setting kind of guy.
I just recently started going over the first episodes of the new season in a new blog post, checkk it out if you feel like it. And if you do start mitsudomoe, skip the first three episodes, it takes them a while to get their bearings, so it starts out with some mainly gross out humor stuff. After that it becomes the best double entendre show ever. If you're into that.
Happy 2011. ^_^
Happy Holidays! ^_^
Haha, yeah, I get what you mean. In my case the OP manga has moved me quite deeply in lots of occasions, but I've always thought that an anime plays with advantage against its manga since movement, color and most especially the music and voice acting play an incredibly important role at enhancing a scene's drama/thrill/emotion. If only the anime is done well, the experience far surpasses the manga. But I guess that's the difficult issue about it: doing things right with the anime - and Toei isn't pulling that off as of late.
Anyways, I absolutely understand what you're saying about not wanting to spoil the moments. Let's just hope Toei will live up to our expectations - or at least a part of them.
