Happy Halloween to you as well!
It's good to hear that ya enjoyed 521 =) And Kino's Journey at the very least, probably won't disappoint or garner a low score.
Finally, I'm unemployed indefinitely, so I'm learning Japanese the AJATT way while I have the time (and then I'll continue the AJATT way, just I'll be limited). I think it's interesting as long as you make it interesting (like AJATT suggests). No one wants to learn a boring way and they end up learning slower and less that way. I found physics enjoyable in high school, so of course I got the highest grades. But I thought English courses were redundant, so I typically didn't do as hot in those.
Anyway, whatever you do, have fun =D
One more thing..
Check out "Kino no Tabi"/"Kino's Journey" if ya get the chance. Preferably check out the Japanese dub, as the English one is pretty shoddy in this instance. I can't be certain, but based on your good reviews of certain anime, I figure you'd probably like it. Not to mention that it's critically reviewed as around 8.8-9.5 by the staff here. And most others give it an 8-10.
Ah, I see (about what you thought of Eden of the East). I would say it's deserving of a second watch and to especially follow up with the movies, but that's clearly just an opinion.Man, if you've seen OP 521 yet, it's so epic. Waiting for Yonkou's a good idea, too, but I figured ~360-480p was good enough on onepieceofficial (luckily without commercials, too). I can't remember from our cbox conversations, but do you know any Japanese? I've started an immersion tactic that I got from AJATT (All Japanese All the Time) and so far it's probably helping. Everything from my OS, to my music, to my news-sources are all Japanese. The one area where I keep it English is keeping in touch with friends on Yonkou, Facebook, here, etc. Then I watch OP with subtitles just to get full enjoyment (although I have to watch everything else without them).Anyway, hit me up sometime again, if ya want, and just have fun no matter what ya do =)
Actually, I've been scared to watch it based on things I've read about it. I'm worried it will ruin my appreciation for the series. At some point in time, maybe I'll man up and watch it, and if it's good, then hurray. Otherwise, I'll just pretend it doesn't exist like the second season of Gunslinger Girl. :p
Figured I'd drop off a comment while I'm here.
Always nice to meet someone who agrees with you. It looks like you've seen a lot of the kind of shows I like, so if you ever feel like talking about one of 'em, hit me up. Nothing wrong can come of discussion between Higurashi fans. :p
Or if you'd rather talk about, like, physics, that can also be arranged, haha.
Nice to meet you either way~
