Oh, your long amazing profile introduction. You must have given it a lot of time.

Oh yeah, it has really been a long time. I am sorry, my bad, I totally forgot about replying to you. Real life really takes a toll on us eh?

Heh, I thought that you were going to stop watching anime. I haven't been watching many anime at the moment, and neither am I reading any manga or playing any Visual Novels. I want to learn Japanese first. I will watch anime or read manga at a slow pace if I do. But learning Japanese takes priority.

Oh nice, keeping up a conversation in a language you have just learnt is really hard... for starters I mean. Me too, sometimes I can watch a bit of the episode without looking at subtitle. I am getting used to Japanese words somewhat. Oh yes, nice to see that you have memorized all the kana. I am studying Hiragana at the moment. Then I will move on to Katakana. And then the hardest thing, the Kanji. I want my Kanji vocabulary to be around 3000 words. I know it will take a lot of time, but I will keep practising.

Yes I know that learning Kanji is like an abomination, but I will persist. I will keep trying, doesn't matter how long it takes. I have 6 years of freedom, after that I will be burdened with responsibilities that is why I am trying to learn Japanese. It is better to use translation patches, but there are so many Visual Novels out there which are untranslated. And to translate one VN takes about 1 to 1/2 year at average. If the translator is totally dedicated then that is a different story. I am not that concerned about my Japanese listening/writing skills, I want to learn reading everything first. Listening skills will keep developing as I play VNs and watch anime.

Here, look at this guy. http://twitter.com/#!/Ixrec <- Ixrec learnt Japanese all on his own, without any classes. After 1.5 years of study he translated the VN Moon. And then half a year later he translated the VN Cross Channel all on his own. Cross Channel is one of the hardest VN out there.

oh, good. One just needs to stay dedicated. Well learning a language is a very big feat. It takes a lot of time, but it will be very rewarding. I am sure of it!

Hey there Kuzame. Awww... you are older than me now. Darn, only 33 more days until I am 17 too.

So, how are you and how's life in LA? Have you been watching any anime lately?

Ah, also I want to ask you how much Japanese do you know? Is it enough to read and write easily? How did you or are you learning Japanese?

I am trying to learn Japanese too. My motivation - I want to read Visual Novels. No, not anything like leaving my country and going to live in Japan. I am not that infatuated with the country.
