There's always something interesting to find in any form of art and i tend to look at the good parts and try to overlook small mishaps that are, sooner or later, bound to occur. There isn't such thing as a perfect 10 (or perfect 5), and even those works that get a full score from me I don't consider flawless, but they either moved me so deeply that i couldn't bring myself to give them anything less than 5 stars or those flaws of theirs were very easy to overlook since the whole thing's a mermerising piece of entertainment. Aesthetics play a big role for me, but I realize that not always there's enough time or money to create something visually stunning, and, by the end of the day, it's what's inside that counts. If characters and their actions are engaging, if the plot's creative and is presented in a captivating manner, that's good enough for me. But if it's also neatly packaged (soundtrack included), it will most likely get one or two points more.
