Onegai Teacher

Oct 3, 2012

Unlike negative reviewer(s), I found the Onegai Teacher manga absolutely fantastic. So great that I gave it, as you may or may not have noticed a 10/10 rating. For me the only other manga that accomplished this high rating was Air Gear, which has pretty much everything needed for a Shounen genred fan like me. So why did Onegai Teacher have such an impact on me when it's not even shounen? Well, here are the reasons, you don't have to believe me, but please do give a try to the manga and check it out.

I'll start with some background on myself, in accordance to anime/manga: I like watching and lately... See full review

Sekirei

Oct 3, 2012

One guy, several girls and a heap of mishaps are what make a harem however Sekirei does things is a little differently. Instead of focusing on the typical Ecchi, Romantic, Comedy aspect; here the Supernatural, Action takes precedence, following an exciting battle royale of hot characters. Depending on your taste you may enjoy this out of the ordinary harem, or be repulsed by the clothes stripping action.

The Sekirei Plan is a top secret project where hot girls & guys of unknown origin have to fight, fight and fight some more in some bizarre battle royale. Minato Sahashi is the young man... See full review

Shakugan no Shana

Oct 3, 2012

Shakugan no Shana is a fantasy anime title with a touch of drama. It manages to retain its fantasy element while keeping a high level of teenage high school romance-related drama in terms of unrequited love between a few of the characters. Shakugan no Shana never leans towards one side completely. The fights between Shana and the Guze no Tomogara are consistent and never drawn out or cut short. There is rarely a lengthy time span separating the fights to make a viewer question if one is coming up. This allows room for episodes that develop the characters beyond the war at hand.

While the fight in... See full review

Spice and Wolf (Light Novel)

Oct 3, 2012

Simplicity can sometimes produce the best results, and that is especially true for this light novel.

People who have heard of Spice and Wolf have probably seen the anime and may not even know it was based off a light novel or have not given thought to read the light novel from which the story originated. However, this novel is a very enjoyable read and can easily get people engrossed in the story.

When I first bought this novel I did it because I really wanted to know what happened next after the end of the anime series. I really enjoyed the series and the way Spice and Wolf II ended, it... See full review

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle

Oct 3, 2012

This by far is probably one of the best mangas out there that I have ever read. I have never been hooked on a manga for so long and still kept buying the next volume as soon as it came out without taking stopping ever 5 volumes. If you have ever read any of CLAMP's other works you'll sure to be able to enjoy this one.

Story:
I have to give it a ten. It's original and fresh. This is the very first manga I have ever read that the story takes place in many different places. The plot seems to be never ending because they have to find Sakura's feathers. But that is what I like about it because I... See full review

Yosuga no Sora

Oct 3, 2012

Just like the other guys review this is quite a bit watered down. But it still is following the Yosuga no Sora storyline which is pretty amazing. The manga is mainly focusing on the Sora arc as of chapter 6 and that's the reason why I am reading it. Because anime's based off harem eroge's will combine all the character's arcs which is really annoying at times when you've got your eyes set on that girl. It's short so give it a read.

Eureka Seven

Aug 13, 2012

Of the many merits the Eureka Seven anime hold, the series is well-known for its outstanding soundtrack and slick animation. So naturally, the question that dwells on the mind of anyone who is considering the manga is: "Would the manga adaptation fare well within a medium devoid of these things?" The answer is "yes". With a darker and more mature story, great artwork, and extremely engaging drama, the Eureka Seven manga is well worth the time of newcomers and anime veterans alike.

The story centers around the adventures of Renton Thurston, who upon meeting a peculiar mecha-riding... See full review

Tomoyo After: Dear Shining Memories

Aug 13, 2012

I must say this was very enjoyable read despite its short length.

Story: Simply outstanding story, as expected from KEY. An excellent story from start to finish, however I did find a few things confusing such as Tomoya's memory loss, like many of KEY's works, its a finely tuned story.

Art: I wouldn't say it is a masterpiece in artwork, but the drawing is well done nonetheless. A good mixture of fights, touching moments, and chibis here and there.

Character: A small cast of characters, but definitely one that I loved very much. However, from what I have seen in the Clannad anime... See full review

Da Capo

Aug 9, 2012

Story - 6

Junichi Asakura is a pretty normal Japanese teenager in a typical harem world. He will encounter various girls, and eventually have to make a decision on one of them, whether the read likes the outcome of said decision or not. The day-to-day antics can be amusing; the personalities of some of the girls gel together well. Other than that, there's nothing special at all here, so don't expect anything out of the ordinary for a harem series.

Art - 8

I did enjoy the artwork quite a bit. All the female designs are quite KAWAII I would say. It kept me going through some of the... See full review
