Since I am neither a girl nor young the shows listed represents what my daughter likes. Some shows she watches over and over again (Tsubasa, CardCaptor Sakura) and other shows she has only seen once because of some sad elements in the story (Figure 17). The list serves as a recommendation of shows that I approve of as well. This may seem strange but my wife asked many who watch anime what would be a good show for my daughter and the responses were incredible. For example Spice and Wolf was on of those selections which I thought was not appropriate for her.
