I'm definitely not a blogger...In fact, this is the first time I have ever made a blog on anything. But this has been bugging me for a while, and even if nobody reads this, maybe it'll get off my mind, not that it's a big deal or anything.
I just watched Akira yesterday...yeah I know, a little late to the party...I was all hyped up to see it, since everyone I know who has seen it told me that I MUST see it before I die or i'll be missing out. So of course I had high expectations for it. But when I watched it yesterday, I couldn't wait for it to be over. It's not that I absolutely hated it, but it was waaaaaay too slow for my liking. But this really took me by surprise, because not only is it a genre I usually like, but I had never heard anyone say anything bad about it.
The opposite is also true. I tend to like things other people don't. Take for instance Powerpuff Girls Z...I was a fan of the American cartoon version, so I decided to check it out...And I loved it, even though I've never finished it. ^-^; But afterwards I started looking at reviews on it, and although there are some fans, most people don't say very great things about it.
This sort of thing isn't just in anime for me, but also in books, video games (*cough* Lux-Pain is awesome *cough*), tv shows, and other things similar. I usually completely disregard reviews now since they never reflect how I actually feel about the show.
Is anyone else like this? XD
