Shakugan no Shana

Jan 14, 2015

*Please note that I will be covering only this season of Shakugan no Shana without any knowledge of the newer seasons.* Shakugan no Shana is definitely superb and deserves to keep a high status, but there are just a few things about the anime that bother me, which is unfortunate considering I really wanted to love it. Right off the bat, you take a look at the anime and notice it's most glaring flaw. This particular flaw kept me from thoroughly enjoying the anime as I should have resulting in only 8/10 rather than boasting a higher score. The animation and art is pitiful, really. A lot of the times the art... See full review

Sumiko: I Don't Like Your Attitude

Aug 4, 2014

Considering that this anime is basically just a five minute long song, there arent many things that I can judge. What I can say, though, is that the song, art, and animation is legitimately terrifying. The song is sung by a little kid as depicted by the animation. The girl sings like a witch and seems slightly homicidal, which is awfully frightening. The animation's art looks as if it were done by a seven year old. Overall, the song and animation is erie and weird. There isn't much to say about Sumiko, but she really doesn't like your attitude.

May 19, 2013

Have you ever wanted to live in a virtual world where you can fight monsters and clear dungeons while meeting thousands of players online? Sword Art Online is a story about just that. It starts out with ten-thousand players all logging into the greatest virtual reality MMO game of all time: Sword Art Online. Kirito, the protagonist of the anime, is a beta tester of the game and has more knowledge about the game then most. While this school aged kid wanders around the world of Aincrad, he notices that it is not possible to log out. Soon afterward, all players are teleported to the main area of the game. The... The Secret World of Arrietty

Sep 24, 2012

I finally got around to watching Studio Ghibli's Secret World of Arrietty. What a master piece.. The art and animation were superb, like any film by the world's finest: Hayao Miyazaki. The soundtrack is incredible. Never does Studio Ghibli fail to impress me with their music and sound. The story-line they thought up was brilliant; a heart touching adventure into the world of the borrowers. Survival of the fittest is all that is relevant to the poor creatures, and some people ruin it for others. There are always... See full review

Is this a Zombie?

Mar 30, 2011

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka. Simply put: amazing. Rather then catagorizing the Story, Animation, etc. I will put it all into one big review. Shh, be quiet. The review is starting!   It isn't often you see a story line like this one. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka is about an ordinary human (Aikawa Ayumu) who was once murdered and brought back to life, in other words, a zombie. Aikawa goes to school like anyone else, and leaves late at night to avoid the sunlight. He lives with Eucliwood Yuu, a necromancer who brought Aikawa back to life after he was murdered. Yuu is a cute and mute girl that wears armor and... See full review

Lucky Star

Mar 2, 2011

Story: Simply said, the story of Lucky Star is an empty story. There are a group of girls who are all friends and go through normal problems in a normal life. Lucky Star is filled with random moments of school, friendship, competition, references, and general life situations. If you do not like slice-of-life anime, anime with random and funny moments, or anime without much real action, then Lucky Star is most likely not for you. (10/10)   Animation: The animation of Lucky Star is smooth and well drawn. It runs well and I see no problems with it. The art is pretty nice to look at, and doesn't give... See full review
