These are two of the best maid-centric anime shows. There is plenty of fanservice and cute uniforms on display. In HIMM the emphasis is on zany action, while HMTLV is a little more character-focused.

Hanaukyo Maid Team

YOU MIGHT LIKE

He is My Master

HIMM and HMT are both maid-themed "harem" ecchi series. There's plenty of fanservice and cute girls in fetching uniforms, for those who enjoy that sort of thing. The biggest difference is probably that the male lead in HIMM is the sexual aggressor, whereas in HMT, it is the maids that pursue the "master" of the house.

These shows are both adaptations of the "Hanaukyo meido tai" manga, and share the same setting and cast of characters. They differ in tone quite a bit, with HMT being a zany harem ecchi show, while La Verite is just a bit more serious and character-driven, and stays much closer to the manga.

I've been a military history jusnkie since I was just a little kid. Two of the first books I remember reading were John Toland's "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" and "Guadalcanal Diary." Flash forward thirty years or so and there's still more to discover about the subject.Obviously, I'm a WWII specialist myself, how about yourself? I've branched out quite a bit over the years, but keep coming back to the 20th century. My favorite auhtor on military history in general is probably John Keegan. Like most English authors his style can be a bit dry and pedantic, but he has great insight and his books are packed with useful and cool information. I'd recommend his stuff very highly.-Jet

What can you say about Bebop? Ten years later and it's still in a class by itself!Always nice to meet another RPGer. Do you bave a favorite system? I've played just about all the biggies over the last couple of decades, and I would probably say that Deadlands by Pinnacle is my all-time favorite. If you haven't heard of it, it's a hybrid between cowboy adventure and monster-fighting horror. Much like Bebop, it's a genre-buster that kind of defies easy explanation. But MAN is it fun. Check it out!-Jet

So, what to say about myself? For starters I joined anime-planet just today, and I got an Internet connection just a week ago. I had a 5 year break from the all addicting mother of all networks :)...

Both shows are about small, elite teams fighting secret wars in the shadows against mysterious enemies. They share a similar beautiful quality of realistic animation, and have similar deliberately-paced storytelling. GITS:SAC is perhaps a bit more action-oriented, while WHR is focused more on characters and mystery-solving. If you enjoy story arcs that take a while to get going, but deliver in the end, both of these shows are worth a look.
