High Score

Dec 22, 2011

An anime 8 episodes long, yet only 3 minutes each. Quite short, yes? Well, that's one of the things I liked about it. High Score won't take too much of your time, so it's especially good for those of you with short attention spans. The main character's a self-conceited "Miss Popular" that shares the same characteristics with her boyfriend. Oh, and her parents are crazy, too. I quite enjoyed the sound effects and the theme song, as it matched well with the show. The voices all suit the characters perfectly. Oddly enough, the theme song can actually be quite catchy. HI-SUUKOAAA HIISUKO-AA... See full review

Kid Icarus

Mar 18, 2012

I stumbled upon this 3-minute/3-episode-short "anime" on the home page, hoping it would be one of those animes that I randomly find and turn out to be quite worthwhile. Sadly, I was wrong. The main plot is the God of Death, A.K.A. Thanatos, some flamboyant monster with a talking skull on top of his real head, is on a rampage to destroy a city or two. It's up to the protagonist, Pit, to stop him. Pit is aided by the Power of Flight, which is granted to him by a goddess. Sounds like a typical action/fantasy anime, yes? I guess that's why I didn't really like it too much. However, the only reason... See full review

Amazing Nuts!

Oct 30, 2011

Just a little above what I expected from Studio 4C. The plot is quite unclear, as it only depicts two lovers running away from the world. Having to deal with the lady's "enemy of the world" status, the confused male eventually gives the relationship up. I'd recommend watching Amazing Nuts! if you've got 10 minutes to spare, although you could probably find much better animes out there to spend those 10 precious minutes.

Ayumi Hamasaki: Connected

Sep 5, 2011

I was honestly expecting a little better coming from Studio 4°C.. The soundtrack was quite painful to listen to, but the animation and graphics were quite good. They really emphasized the "futuristic"-ness of the video. Overall, the music video's not bad nor good.

Death Note

Aug 24, 2011

The very first anime I've ever watched, the anime that dragged me into the otaku society. Definitely not overrated; Death Note deserves it's popularity, hands down. Story: The first few episodes deserve an absolute 10. The storyline can be described as horrific and humorous at the same time, with a tad bit of romance in the later episodes. There are only a few scenes that involve actual fighting, though that's not a downside. The main fighting method among the characters are almost always a battle of wit, unlike most other animes. Each episode leaves you in the extreme cliffhanger. BUT, I believe the... See full review
