Hello, I'm the type that loves conversations, so leave a comment if you like!I take a few days to reply though :P  I'm a college student who lives in Austin, Texas and am originally from Scotland. I enjoy distance running, indie/alternative music, drawing, basketball and the NBA (my team is the Golden State Warriors) as well as talking with all sorts of people. I like all sorts of different anime, so let me know any recommendations you might have. I have smash brothers for the 3ds, and have been into the series since melee, so hmu for a match!

One of my favourite things about anime is the fact that 90% of the time I don't have high expectations, so I typically am surprised by how good most shows are. I'm also the sort who sees the positives in something, and give the benefit of the doubt. I may not enjoy everything, but if someone else found likeable aspects of a show, then I may take a second look. I believe talking about what you liked and enjoyed is better than talking about what you didn't, and is better for the human experience.

I see a lot of reviewers out there talking about how much they hate certain shows, characters, aspects, etc. Then they proceed to talk about why you shouldn't enjoy said series. The way I see it, if someone really liked/got a lot out of a certain series, then who are others to tell them they're wrong for doing so?

There's a lot of stuff on here, hope it doesn't slow your internet down!

How are you then? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brynhildr in the Darkness

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I am trying to learn Japanese. No, not because I want to leave my country or anything like that. My lone motivation to learn Japanese is that I want to read Visual Novels. I love them sooo much! If my english and japanese are proficient/good/fluent enough then I may help with amateur translations too. But I don't think that this dream will come true. Japanese is my 4th language by the way, English the 3rd.

Are you planning to do something like that? You know, fansubbing, helping with scanlating etc.

To tell you the truth, there are so many anime I want direly want to watch at the moment. I am the most restless for Natsume Yuujin-chou San. I just can't describe in words, how much I love this anime. Other than that there are so many more, I will and I want to watch about every anime as possible.

I don't like to watch on-going shows for the following reasons:

  • I hate waiting.
  • I prefer waiting for quality subs, without many evident errors.
  • I like to watch my anime in 1080p or 720p.
  • And I forgot the rest for now...
  • Oh, I like subtitles with good styling. I don't like to read the plain-white text all the time.

Go, go and watch Clannad and Eve no Jikan. Go!

(If you want to know specifically which latest anime I want to watch then ask me. I will list them down. Whichever season you want, ask me.)

Why not? I liked the anime, don't get the wrong idea - I have my reasons for liking it. To tell you the truth, at first when I watched and finished School Days, I was intensely pissed off! Utterly pissed off at that, but with time when I gave the anime and my thoughts some time to settle down, I Ultimately reached at the conclusion that the anime was good. Why, because it showed the dark-side of real life tragedies. It showed us what happens to the scum of humankind when they toy with the lives of others. The most surprising, no, more like shocking thing was that the anime played with our emotions. It deliberately made us hate the main character, and the anime succeeded in doing that. There are very few, well-executed anime that capture our emotions and sometimes manipulate them. Yes, School Days is one of them. The creators intentionally made an anime like this, a hateful anime but one which can be liked. And my, my... they succeeded! The creators deserve much praise.

School Days is pretty hated all over, but that doesn't matter.  Read this review at nihonreview, they do some of the best reviews and the staff there are total pros. They are total critics, giving even our most favourite shows scores like 6,7 and 8. And look at what School Days got, and I trust this review.

Oh and what a nice boat for us bro! *High-five* (Oh and it will be totally animated. The whole of it!)

Wow... Ranma 1/2 is pretty long. I have only watched Kuroshitsuji and Monster in these 3-4 months I think.

Hmmm... oh good way! After thinking it over, I have come to agree with you! I think that I should watch as much anime as I can while I am a teenager/pre-adult. I reckon that I will start marathoning anime more often from now on.

"First anime I watched was School Days... so yeah".

^ Awesome anime, won't you agree?! (no sarcasm intended here, talk to me about the anime.)

Oh and about your post, it has been 1 1/2 years to be precise. It is pretty slow I think. I haven't been watching many anime for like 4-5 months.

Future plans - now I am trying to watch as less anime as I can for now, I want to save some for the future too. Now I wouldn't want that I finish all the anime I can by the age of 19 and have only some anime to watch at that time would I? I am trying to learn different stuff related to computers, also trying to learn how to edit manga so that I can help all the different manga scanlation groups with their releases.

By the way, I think that your progress is more astounding than mine. You are pretty fast too. But I would say to you to watch anime in a slow pace too. You would also hate it wouldn't you if there were hardly any anime left for you to watch in the future?!
