Haha I get what you mean... I think I've seen it three times now and the ending still doesn't make any sense to me! You should watch The End of Evangelion film though, it's an alternate ending for the last two episodes and does make a bit more sense! haha

haha Yes I've heard that a lot as well, I thought it was worth watching though regardless...if nothing else, just to see what all the fuss was about!

Hi, thanks for the welcome, same to you!

You already have a pretty impressive anime list! But dark and gritty you say? I'm no expert but here are a few I'd definitely recommend you watch:

'Tokko' - it's one of my favourites, pretty bloody but it had a good plot (I think)!

'Darker Than Black' - is another darker anime I think you might enjoy.

'Berserk' - it's quite an old one from the 80s so the animation has a grainy quality which I quite like but it's extremely bloody and gory, it's a good one!

Lastly, I saw you have 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' on your want to watch list so I'd definitely say that one too. It's more of a mindf*ck than the others but very good, the two movies act as alternate endings for the series so they're good to watch as well :D

I hope that's of some help! If there are any that you think I might enjoy too feel free to suggest some :D

Nice to meet you by the way!

Hey, thanks for your comment.

We have similar tastes indeed - but shame on you for dropping Inuyasha hehe! I'm interested to know how Saikano changed your way of thinking by the way, I found it a really interesting watch - what did you get from it? I would recommend Mind Game to you for anime that can change your thinking!
