about me

I'm Rebecca, 17 y o college student :3

My favourite things in the world are my bands- Keane, Muse and My Chemical Romance :3

My favourite animes are Hana Yori Dango, Digimon 01 and 02, Tokyo Mew Mew, Shugo Chara Doki!! and Lucky Star :) I also like horror genre animes like Higurashi or HOTD, ignoring the whole ecchi-ness of them all. I used to be a big otaku about a year ago, then I took a few months' break away from anime. I'm too busy with work to watch a lot of anime anymore, but I still try to watch something fairly regularly. My want to watch list must recede! :O

I don't particularly like sports anime, and I've never watched a mecha cause none of them have ever sounded very appealing... :S Maybe I should try one just to see :S I'm not really one for hentai, and I only put up with ecchi if its the secondary genre of a show I'm watching and the story is so good it makes it worth all the breats bouncing around.

I felt pretty upset when Rue died, probably because of all the sad music piled on top but what really got me was her fathers reaction to her dying. Oh that part where they start a riot was incredible, I'm surprised more people didn't try to riot, considering the number of people who actually die D:

Ahh Cabin in the Woods is really not what it looks like at all! It's gory and scary, but there's a whole other dimension there too...I won't ruin it, it's best to watch it thinking it's going to be flat-out horror, or yet another stereotypical samey-same horror with dumb characters xD Definately worth going to see, though. Probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Oh, I can see why those glasses wouldn't work, are they the ones that are half blue and half red? Used for really old comic books and stuff? Oh well at least you know for next time. 3D glasses at the cinema near where I live only cost about £2 and if you return them you get £1 refunded so it's not too expensive.

I like Star Wars but probably not as much as other people. I've seen some of the older movies and if the newer ones all get remade into 3D I'll go watch them, simply because I like the characters. There are just way too many, and they all run in a weird order too. I have no idea which one I went to see- think it was the earliest of all the newer movies.

I got a new laptop last week, it's brilliant, I've been saving up for one for a long time and finally found the chance to get one :D On Sunday my sister went back to uni and we had to do a 4 hour drive there and back, but with this laptop I got to watch anime for most of the return journey so it made it quicker. Woo, such freedom! Oh you like Higurashi right? Have you ever read the manga series to it? I've actually completed one of the arcs, which is from the second series, and oh wow <3 It's four volumes long and covers more than the anime did, it's so good!

Easter holiday was boring, having my sister back from uni and my littlest sister off school meant the house has been full pretty much every day and I haven't had much to do :( I started working on my cosplay, I completely forgot how hard it is to make those pleated school skirts. I always think it's going to be easy to make them and then I end up making them completely wrong ):

Oh I know exactly what you mean about Hunger Games- their relationship felt so fake! And their names are spelt really oddly, it wasn't until I saw the credits I realised her name wasn't 'Candise' xD I'm hoping the books make the characters deeper than the movie. Like really hoping, since most of them are forgettable. Either way, I am pretty excited for a sequel, even if by the time it arrives I won't remember the storyline D:

There's not a whole lot out in the cinema at the moment, although I went to see a great movie today called The Cabin in The Woods. Oh. My. God. It's the type of movie I would recommend to anyone who finds horror movies repetitive and boring. I don't enjoy horror movies (I saw one on the weekend called The Silent House and it wasn't scary at all) and I find them really predictable, but this movie was incredible! I don't want to spoil it for you because it's best watching it just expecting a generic horror movie, either way, loads of fun and definately worth watching. I could talk about this movie all night arggh it was so good!!

How do 3D glasses not work? Did they not fit properly? I always hate having to wear them over my actual glasses, it's usually fine for an hour but after that they get really uncomfortable. Ohh nice master plan though, then again I don't really think people could see you because it's usually dark? xD Seems a bit pointless going to see a 3D movie and then not actually seeing it in 3D! I saw Star Wars in 3D a few weeks ago and it was some of the worst 3D effects I had ever seen, although their shoulders stood out a bit...it wasn't very impressive .__. Did you see Titanic before going to the cinema then? I was thinking of seeing it in 3D but I've seen it on tv/DVD probably....20 times? I know most bits off by heart, but it still gets depressing near the end, either way it would be embarassing to cry in the cinema in front of loads of people.

Hey, how have you been? Did you have a nice Easter? I haven't had much time at all on the computer the past two weeks.

I went to see Hunger Games last week and oh my god...the ending was so rushed xD But the costume designs were so beautiful! The storyline is just like Battle Royale, except that series (the manga, novel and movie) gave all the characters back stories and showed how they survived, unlike Hunger Games which just showed from that girls point of view (no idea how to spell her name Dx). So now I'm wondering, does this movie just cover one of the novels?? Because I really wanted to see someone rise up and try to stop the Hunger Games happening! I'm hoping this is just based on the first novel and the other two follow similar stories but with different outcomes. And when she kissed Peter at the end...surely they can't end up together? So many questions! Have you seen any interesting movies lately?

It is actually a show that I thought improved around the middle and then perhaps finished slightly weakly. Just pretend they're 15 ~_^
