I have been a fan of Anime movies for years, but am only now getting into series. My other interests include: animals, cycling, bird watching, collecting foxes, mythology, Eastern philosophy, dancing, collection natural objects, international films, British comedy, herbalogy, drawing and collaging, Asian horror, reading humorous sci-fi/fantasy. I seem rather fond of cat-like characters in the Anime I have seen, maybe because cats are my favorite domestic animal. In my daily life I work as an instructional assistant. I also have a pet catfish named Lucky and write short fiction. Right now I am reading a great deal on trickster myths so I am interested in Animes with secondary characters the fit the trickster profile. I am watching lots of my Anime on a Roku player or on-line so a great deal of the shows I have seen mostly come either through Netflix or Crunchyroll websites, this has limited a bit when I get to watch certain shows. I now have two favorite on-line sites for anime; AnimeFreak.tv and AnimeSeason.com as well as a manga site called MangaReader.net that I enjoy. Have as of late been favoring Anime titles with lots of random humor, or ones that are dramas for women. In the past I tended to lean more towards fantasy Anime and still really enjoy the genre, more so if it is a slower paced title like Mushishi. I am also starting to really enjoy both the romantic ones as well as the "slice of life" ones, as long as they aren't total drama, but have an element of humor or fantasy in them. Also now I am working on learning Japanese, through the immersion technique which means I am watching more Japanese language shows than ever before. Also just started getting into reading Manga on-line, read horror comics as a kid so my favor the types with a darker theme, or may end up preferring stuff like my fav animes, hum could be I will read the mangas some of these shows are based off of.
