Yet another bio update. These things go out of date so quickly, or I'm getting old and beginning to understand why adults always complained about time moving too fast back when I was a nipper.
I'm currently working as a part-time cleaner to pay the bills, and more importantly buy more delicious vinyl records (for my favourite musical artists see here), whilst working at setting up my own business. I'm also a member of an experimental post-rock/electronica band Ghosts Wear Clothes which released an album, Threads, in the Spring of 2012.
Aside from anime, where my tastes range from cloyingly sentimental romances like Clannad to bleak, depressing arty shit like Monster, these are some of my favourite:

Applebaum), A Song of Ice and Fire (GRR Martin), Lord of the Rings (JRR Tolkien), Frankenstein (Shelley), Harry Potter (JK Rowling) Testament of Youth (V. Brittain), Prince of Nothing (R.S. Bakker), Gentleman Bastards (S. Lynch), Gaunts Ghosts (D. Abnett), Mutual Aid: A Factor in Evolution (P. Kropotkin), My Disillusionment in Russia (E. Goldman), It (S. King)

We have a couple of things in common, matey. 1) I used to be an avid fantasy reader - Feist's 'Magician' is my all time favourite novel. Currently, the only things I might consider reading further are JV Jones and George Martin, cause I got a bit angry with the genre after the Jordan fiasco (although he's dead now, so I can let my resentment go). 2) Although, always nice to meet fellow Brits on this site, how surprised am I to discover we're in the same city? I study at the other one, though, University of Nottingham. Heh, anyway, hope to see you in the forums some time. PS. Mock the Week totally rocks! And The Descent was frickin' awesome - it made that horror/suspense genre rewatchable again for me.
(saw your comment on OneiChan's profile and thought I'd say something :p)
Yeah, GANTZ *is* awesome! tbh I wasn't hooked right away... I saw the first 4 episodes (through the greenonion arc) and was thinking "meh". But then the character developments aspects started shining through after that, and I ended up LOVING the series. The end truly was fucking terrible, but i'd like to think it ends at episode 22ish... you know... where all the stuff goes down o_o. One of the most moving episodes I've seen of anything (or, at least, the most impactful).
Check out Bokurano if you have the chance. It's basically GANTZ with kids, and more emotional/psychological violence than physical/gore.
Also, have you considered making recommendations? Clearly you don't suck at writing, so I'd love to have you on board if you are ever so inclined ;) I'll have an easier to read FAQ up soon for that ^_^
I'd have to agree ^_^ Though, I haven't seen Death Note yet. It is on my saved list for sure. I noticed that you are watching Gantz :D How are you liking that anime? I rather enjoyed it, but it definitely was graphic. And.. Monster belongs in my top 5 as well... I am just not quite sure how to work it in there :p
I stumbled across your profile and realized you have a really cool Top 5. All 5 being things I've either seen and really enjoyed or things that I -really- want to see. I actually have all of Monster waiting patiently for me to watch it. I can't wait because I know it's going to be awesome! ;)
Nice Avatar!
Hahahahahahaha!!! What is your avatar from? I must know.
