I'm a 16 year old year old junior who's been into anime for a year or two now. Well, that isn't entirely true, I’ve been watching the anime on T.V. since i was little. My first anime was Pokemon which I would watch every week when it aired in America. Along with Pokemon my childhood consisted of: Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Bakugan, Dragon Ball, and Zatch Bell (the ones on Cartoon Network).

It was in 1st-2nd grade that I was introduced into a new category of anime by my best friend http://www.anime-planet.com/users/shadowshade. He would constantly bug me to watch a show called Naruto which aired during Adult Swim.  At the young age the sexy jutsu really put me off, but I got over it eventually and fell in love with the show.  Later he introduced me to Bleach. Again, I was reluctant to try it, but fell in love with it when I did.  Despite all this I still didn’t know it was anime, I didn’t even know about anime at this point in time.

Then in 8th-9th grade I started talking to my friend http://www.anime-planet.com/users/veggiegirl and was pushed into trying the anime Angel Beats!.  This was the first “real” anime I had ever watched.  I was amazed as I watched a new world unfold in front of my eyes.  This was the world of anime.

Through the next summer and school year I immersed myself in anime, watching it every chance I got and fell in love. Faster than ever 9th grade then the summer were gone and I was in High School.  Once in High School I was amazed to see how many anime freaks were out there.  They were everywhere if you knew where to look.  Eventually I’d made several friends that I would hang out with and watch anime or just talk to them in class.  I even managed to get a few friends hooked along the way http://www.anime-planet.com/users/Luneth1111air and http://www.anime-planet.com/users/MidtaleFox

I wouldn’t be who I am today without anime.  Even in my childhood anime was shaping me without my knowing.  I’ve learned so much from it and it’s changed my outlook in so many different ways.  I can see the world in a whole new light, and it’s a great view.

It's cheesy and in need of fixing, but i'm lazy so you'll have to live with it for now lol

Hello!  sothis is redesigning the anime-planet site, and plans to roll out an awesome new site design in July, we believe. The blog feature is not part of the new design, and it is going away.  More information about this here:  Announcement: the blog feature is being deprecated topic link. (Be sure to check out the new site design when it goes live!)

I am volunteering in a project to notify folks who have blogs posted here, like yourself, that the blog feature is going away. So if you want to save the information that you posted in your blog on the site, you’ll need to move that information someplace else on the site that WON’T be going away. If you don’t move the information to another part of the site, the information will be gone when the new site design goes live.

So, we are telling everyone that has posted a blog this.  And then we are making suggestions where they can move their information, based on what information their blog contained. This comment has recommendations to you where to move your blog content.

Comments about an anime (such as your blog comments about Dog Days) can be posted in the anime's official Discussion topic. You can generally find a link to that topic on the anime's Main Details page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get back to me, and I will try to assist.
