Here's a show I've been wanting to watch for a long time. HnU is one of my first true horror show so I really don't know much about them. But one thing's for sure, I felt like the director did an amazing job on this one.
There's something extremely creepy in the way the series was "shot", it reminded me a lot of those old-school Hitchcock movies.
The artwork ain't pretty, but it really doesn't matter because the "horror" athmosphere is very well rendered. The ending did feel a bit rushed, though that's probably the only weak element I can think of at the moment (the show's never great, but never gets bad either).
An very good watch overall, even though I think a 100 minutes movie would have been a better fit for Hitsuji no Uta.
Oh and two thumbs up for having Shiki/Kokutou's voice actor in the cast. :P
