I see your thinking about reading and watching Tokyo Ghoul. A lot of people complain about the anime but I think with the exception of some of the major errors in the animation in the 2nd season (someone glides across the screen in a impossible way in the background during a fight scene...lol) it was pretty decent. As with a lot of things though, the manga is much better. I'd suggest completing the anime before you get far into reading it so that you can enjoy both of them as much a possible.
There are a lot of interesting features for you to check out and use here and also tons of friendly anime and manga fans to chat with. I hope you stick around.
