Nemure Omoi Ko, Sora no Shitone ni

May 6, 2017

Of all the niche and obscure anime ever to be seen, this one really tops the list. Nemure Omoi Ko, Sora no Shitone ni (good luck remembering that title in 5 years) is a 50 minute movie with some of the strangest CGI i have ever seen. The title translates to Sleep Tight My Baby, Cradled in the Sky, which is the lullaby being sung at the start of the movie. Even though the plot and characters are bland, the CGI makes the show worth watching (not in a good way). It is definitely the most defining thing about the show and also the biggest thing that might turn people away, especially newer anime fans. At first... See full review

No-Rin

May 26, 2016

No-Rin is a decent comedy, with it's own rare flavour of comedy. I didn't think it would be anything different to any other ecchi/comedy shows, but it proved me wrong. Episode 8 was hilarious, probably one of the funniest anime episodes ever. I enjoyed the characters and find it impressive that the lead character can actually be interesting, even the classmates all had different personalities and quirks.  If you're ever in the mood for something easy to watch, try this, or just skip to episode 8 and try to enjoy the craziness.

Gourmet Girl Graffiti

Nov 19, 2015

This show is better than it looks, even though the first episode is quite slow. It follows the life of a girl who loves to cook becoming closer to her cousin who loves to eat after her cousin decides to attend cram school in Tokyo. The plot is very simple, but if you have any interest in Japanese culture and cuisine, or even discovering a new recipe, I recommend you to watch it. If you aren't too familiar with Japanese cuisine this anime will certainly be educational. The anime really did well at making everything seem appetizing and watching the two girls enjoy different meals is entertaining, especially... See full review

Recorder and Randsell

Apr 17, 2012

Story Recorder to Randoseru Do (Some people refer to it as 'Recorder to Randsall' or 'Unfunny Lazy Repetitive Comedy With Like Three Jokes' - although that title is a bit long. No idea what 'Do' stands for. Sound a recorder makes? 'Do' something worth 'Do'ing?) is a comedy about an older sister (Atsumi) who is really short and her younger brother (Atsushi) who is really tall. Since there is no actual storyline and the brother and sisters' appearance are the main plot point, the show becomes a shallow mess with the same joke being repeated constantly- “oh look,  a grown man talking to a little... Blessing of the Campanella

Dec 8, 2011

Story: Shukufuku no Campanella (Blessing of the Campanella) is a series set in Ert’Aria, starring main protagonist and generic anime male lead Leicester Maycraft, member of Oasis- an adventurer’s clan. Despite what this suggests, he doesn’t actually get down ‘adventuring’ for a while as the anime has to introduce an entire check list of females, all sporting colourful outfits with intricate patterns. So many characters, yet they are each about as deep as a puddle. A really small puddle probably caused from the tears of boredom streaming out of this reviewers eyes. This series... See full review
