Yeah I know what you mean it might have been cruel but honestly I might have doen the same I mean its completely understanable but makes you think if another animal became as intelligent as we were would we always treat second to us or as an equal? Thats what I loved about SSY so much it really got you thinking and provokes discussion not to be racist but I think it can kind of relate to how white people treated coloured people when they first encountered them. Didn't think humans could be different coloured and had superior weaponery so I doubt they even regarded them as humans when whites invaded and took their land thank goodness its no longer the case now.

Yeah you are right Squealer was awesome especially at the end like I said because of his cruelty I felt like giving him a punch to the face but at the end I wanted to give him a pat on the back out of respect. Another question since I am not sure myself but did Squealer actually know the truth? Is that why he called himself a human at the end or were those just his feeling. It did hint that he found something that could have told him the truth.

I think the score I would give the story is a 10 because it keeps me thinking and has become a legend that I will remember in years time.

No problem its the best review done so far and was written in a lot of detail without few spoilers. I might have come across as a little aggressive with my point about the gay/lesbien part but I saw it coming due to my knowledge of bonobos from a friend if know how those monkey's behave it all makes sense. Though it would be good advice to anyone you reccomend the series to that they at least google what it means by bonobos first it helps understand why that part was in it a lot better.

I agree and it was superbly done as not even the most powerful people were invincible in fact if they were too powerful they were in danger like Shun. The way the series put in events that seemed a little random at the time then linked them altogether was what made this a masterpiece. However due to a couple of small issues it can't be given 10/10 but for its story and how the characters tie into it is probably as close to 10 as you can get.

However you just made an extremely good point that I should have brought up myself so I am glad you did. How did the child of Maria and Mamoru bring so much destruction on Kidoumaru's army? The only thing I can guess is that Squealer had the child protect his army as long as he is not killing it should be fine but it would be best if it went into more detail about that otherwise like you said it comes across as a big plot hole and could potentially destroy a perfect story like this series has.

Very sad what happened to Maria too I enjoyed her character so I had a lot of hate for squealer for what he did but when you find out the truth I can't blame them they were given a fate that was unbelievably cruel by the cantus users. It also explains why the queer rats were actually so intelligent and when given knowledge they created democracy and over threw the monarchy.

As far as the rating for Itsudatte! My Santa went, the more I thought about the anime, the angrier it made me. The level at which I thought it was a slap in the face to anime fans outweighed any and all good points the anime had.
