Ok. I'm going to write something more general here this time, so there's nothing listed that will change and require updates. I'm either too lazy, or too busy.

As my stats on here can attest, I watch a lot of anime - and yet the 'to watch' list keeps growing longer. I obviously have some genres or themes that I tend to gravitate toward, but I like a little bit of everything. My ratings tend to be higher, but that's because I mostly only watch shows that appeal to me; it's still incredibly hard to elicit a five-star rating from me, though. My 'dropped' list is going to continue to grow, because I've started sampling just about every new series each season, and keeping the handful that catch my interest while leaving the rest behind after one or two episodes.

Outside of anime, I still follow a handful of manga regularly, and occasionally binge on a series or two. I get back to videogaming once in a while, read regularly (mostly sci-fi / fantasy), and work as a private tutor.

If you'd like to know anything beyond that, just ask!

Just wanted to say your first rec pair was excellent and skillfully written - I hope you will consider adding more! I'm showcasing your rec in this week's Crunchyroll article (coming out tomorrow) :)

(in case you aren't familiar with the articles: http://www.crunchyroll.com/newsfeed/tag/anime-planet+recommends - I announce them each week in the site news section as well :) )

Hello!  sothis is redesigning the anime-planet site, and plans to roll out an awesome new site design in July, we believe. The blog feature is not part of the new design, and it is going away.  More information about this here:  Announcement: the blog feature is being deprecated topic link.  (Be sure to check out the new site design when it goes live!)

The blog pages are going away, and will be gone when the site redesign goes live. Your blog here will be removed from the site.

So, if want to keep the information posted in your blog, you will need to copy this information someplace else on the site. If you have any questions how or where to do this, please feel free to get back to me, and I will try to assist.

(For instance, your blogs posting your thoughts on how anime makes you feel - your blog on Teh Feelz - or on attending a con, can be posted in a discussion topic in the site's Forum to elicit commentary from other members here.)

I just read your comment on snivets pet girls review. I completely agree even though I still loved the anime (it's in my top/favorite anime list of all time). While I liked Aoyoma I think her character caused the series to lose the "specialness" in the 2nd half of the show.

Excellent. I lean much more towards fantasy myself, with the exception of cyberpunk and steampunk (although the latter is probably an equal mix of both sci-fi and fantasy, haha). My favorite authors include Jacqueline Carey, Anne Bishop, Brandon Sanderson, Robin Hobb, Gail Carriger, Scott Lynch, and Richard Kadrey.

I've been meaning to get into Patrick Rothfuss for a while now, so I'm glad you reminded me of him. My non-fiction forays are usually into history, anything to do with the Middle East, and of course, martial arts. :)

May I commend you on your fabulous taste, sir? :P Actually, I just realized recently that AP has that compare list feature... I'd be happy to recommend some things in the future.

I also notice that you read Star Wars. My favorite was always the X-wing series, but it has been quite a while since I've read anything in that universe. Do you stick to Sci-Fi, or do you read iin other genres as well?
