I will soon celebrate 15 years here on Anime-Planet! Wohooo! Times fly when you're having fun!

Hardworking train conductor who tries to find enough time to enjoy anime and manga. After buying a new house my time is more limited than ever, but THANKS to higher forces i can enjoy Crunchyroll on my pad at work sometimes so now everything is back on track. ;)
Went to Japan 2017 and fell in love with the country (again) for real and I'm longing to go back again and again.

They say that anime and manga is for the young only. I disagree! I'm over 50 and still enjoys my shows more than those I can find on normal TV.

Favourite styles is: Slice of life, drama, high school, romance, humor, horror and mystery. That surprised myself some years ago when I during a spell och unemployment dived in this treasurehoard for real. But perhaps that was what I needed then. :)

Hello I’m Ruthie Jones. Just looking for someone to swap movies.

Hi 👋

4 weeks in Japan is pretty long I guess. The longest trip I had was 3 weeks in Germany, Bayern. I loved the nature there. Parks everywhere :))) I never got bored of taking a walk during my stay. If there’s one thing that’s lacking in the district where I live, it’s the scenery and nature.

I’ve never tried participating in the Ekiden, or any other long sprint race. I quit sports when I was in elementary school. Then, I used to do ballet and swimming, but they did not grow on me. I do enjoy taking leisurely walks though.

I should watch Eureka 7 some time. I’ve watched a number of mechas, but apart from the really popular ones like Code Geass and Gundam Seed, I didn’t find them to be too impressive. I’ll give Eureka a try.

Boogiepop...So far the plot is really really confusing, which I thinkis because the storytelling is jumbled up. I hope things will start to clear up soon though.

Adding to the humongous wall of letters I wrote:

Wagaki Band is definitely a fresh taste in the Japanese music industry. The way they modernized the traditional music (as well as the visuals) is interesting. It’s the sort of image the government is looking for to promote the Tokyo 2020 olympics.

Speaking of Kyoto Teramachi Holmes, I watched it. It was an okay show. I have a thing for cute romance shows so I couldn’t miss it last year :)) Was it the second opening? The one in which Wagaki band did a collab with the singer Nano. I kept replaying the intro section of the song because it was so catchy.

I live in tokyo. Not planning to move for the next 2 years at least, until I’ve graduated from graduate school.

I‘ll definitely be watching Promised Neverland this season. Also Mob Psycho second season. I’m not sure if I‘ll continue watching Boogiepop though. I didn’t like the first two episodes at all.

Last season I enjoyed watching Seishun Buta Yarou. I felt that the story got weaker towards the end but I still really enjoyed watching it. I watched a couple of others including Zombieland Saga. I really really loved the first two episodes of this show, but after it became less of a comedy after those two eps, I didn’t enjoy it much. It‘s good you liked it though because the way it ended was suggesive of a second season. Also, I‘m watching the second cour of Run With the Wind from last season. So far I like it.

I‘d still recommend Monster even though it’s 70 episodes long. I binge watched it during my summer holiday last year. My impression is that it‘s definitely one of those rare shows that keep you entertained every episode. I don’t remember there being any filler episodes. It was a very solid show in this respect.

But yeah I wouldn’t recommend Bleach to anyone. The shounen genre is so full of filler episodes, it‘s best to just skip those episodes using a filler guide. Actually, I don’t think I enjoyed watching the canon episodes too much either. I suppose it’s because I‘m not a fan of the shounen battle genre.

It’s quite recent that I noticed slice of life/ iyashikei was my type of show. I want to watch Yuru Camp first season before the second season starts, but the legal streaming site I‘m using unfortunately doesn’t have any plans of streaming the show yet.

I liked the mai hime links btw. Yuki Kajiura in the early 2000s.
