I'm an adult who is young at heart. I walk boldly into the "teen" sections of nearby libraries to pick up manga. This world is dark enough already without my entertainment choices all being full of violence and pain. There's nothing wrong with wanting some sunshine in my life, with cheering for the hero, or with sighing over the impossible romance. I embrace the pure, vibrant spirit of youth...

Which means that my tastes and favorites aren't ever likely to grow up. Sorry for anyone who hoped I'd move into more mature territory one day. XP

I use exactly 200 words in my anime and manga reviews, which is enough to be helpful, but too few to be dull. (Hopefully.) I'd love it if you read a few and let me know what you think! ^_^ The exceptions are long-running series, one shots, and any other misfits I encounter.

After realizing that the more anime I watch the more pointless my old rating system became, I asked Sunagan if I could steal hers. Because she's awesome, she consented. ^_^ I added 1 and 0.5 stars because I didn't want to change the way I had rated the worst shows thus far.

• ½ star = so atrocious that slitting my wrists seemed like a merciful alternative (1-1.5/10)
• 1 star = bad, tasteless, boring and unremarkable. not atrocious, though (2-2.5/10)
• 1½ stars = just on the border of acceptable/unacceptableness (3-3.5/10)
• 2 stars =  below average, but not in danger of failing yet. (4-4.5/10)
• 2½ stars = passable, but average anime. I did enjoy this moderately. (5-5.5/10)
• 3 stars = average, but with something that makes it stand out a bit. (6-6.5/10)
• 3½ stars = very enjoyable with special moments among the usual fun levels (7-7.5/10)
• 4 stars = a great series with some minor flaws, it did greatly impress me (8-8.5/10)
• 4½ stars = fantastic + incredibly addicting, engraved in my memory forever (8.5-9/10)
• 5 stars = masterpiece (9.5-10/10)

 I've started compiling my most noteworthy anime achievements.  These are feats that I don't recommend, because they left me reeling for a while. Don't expect the list to grow longer any time soon. After all, if these were easy, they would really be achievements, now would they?

Anime Achievements:

• 50 episodes of Naruto filler in 48 hours- May 6-7, 2010
• Finished watching all 85 episodes of Naruto filler without growing to hate the franchise- June 11, 2010

Manga Achievements:

• I shall have to redo my manga marathon. It really is a shame; I think I was up to maybe 500 pages?

I should also challenge myself to do something else that's impressive. Hmmm...
