There are so many effective scenes in this anime. From the subtle to the down right obvious. Can I just say that I am shocked that lots of people on this site don't like this anime; its a very effective thrill ride and attacks your emotions like no anime I've seen before (Elfen Lied is still the most emotional anime I've seen to date, but this is second).
