I am a 18 year old boy from a really shi**y part of the world. There is food and internet, and "democracy", but people here are so ignorant,close-minded and dumb. :)

I am a very serious, logical and philosophical dude, yet I love to make fun of myself and others. I can't really stand most of the youth in my place because they all think that cars and clothes are the meaning of life. -.-'

I really like Anime but I'm not a full-time otaku, mostly because I can't find animes that will really interest me. My fav so far would be: Death Note, Texhnolyze, Tatami Galaxy, Space Cowboy, Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain and Neon Genesis Evangelion. ( I do have many others to watch though).

Favorite Musicians: Radiohead, Fever Ray, Florence + the Machine, Soap&Skin, Esben and the Witch etc.

Favorite Books: The Stranger, The Trial, Waiting for Godot, Notes from the Underground, The Idiot, Crime and Punishment, Veronica decides to die etc...

If you like the psychological aspect i'd definately say you NEED to watch monster. The creator made every single character that was introduced a part of the plot even if they seemed small at first and everthing intertwine by the end. You probably will also like Bokurano if you haven't seen it yet. The manga was better but the anime is deffinately one of the more emotional psychological ones.

Yea i find that most of my favorite characters in animes are the side characters that have great depth to them that most people dont' notice. Such as my all time favorite would have to be Seiji Ogata from Hikaru no Go. To fans of the anime he's widely unnoticed but i love the drive that they gave him as a character and his personality with all his human flaws. As for Matoko the only thing about her that i didn't like was the fact that she never admitted to Batou that she cared for him. I know it wasn't the genre of the anime but i really would have liked to see SOMETHING by the end of SAC 2  :( It was dissapointing. ;D Batou deserved it.

Death Note was great, I remember seeing it before it became main stream (i've been a big fan of anime for over....7 years now ^^; ) and thinking woah this is really amazing. Misa was indeed not the best character but i didn't hate her. But i have to say i don't really care as much for shows once they hit the huge mainstream levels. Such as Naruto i was a fan before it came to america and now everyone knows it on the street. =_= i can't help but find it annoying. That and naruto makes every female in it a Healer or suck at fighting...ugh but that is a whole different rant ;)

Haha, I feel honored that my reviews held that much weight and that someone took the time to actually read them :)

And definitely watch monster! It honestly changed the way I see anime.

Lol i'm going to be attending the University Of Pennsylvania in the fall and im plannin on doing medicine but we'll see if that changes xD

Ah, I remember the good old days when I would stream anime xD now i can't watch a series if its not in 720P.

I have so many books to read xD my AP lit class is reading the glass menagerie right now. It's actually really brilliantly written.

You should check out Bakuman too :) Its a great series about how simplistic anime can explore complex themes. hahah I feel like I'm adding more and more on to your to watch anime list xD

Ah yes i tend to stand far outside the crowd haha. Most gilrs enjoy shoujo or romance, while i detest them. I can't stand it when animes have amazing strong male characters only to be followed around by a female that is whiney and cant' do anything correctly ^^:; Also i'm a fan of the gore genre in anime. A story has to actually have a decent plot for me to like it. Some of the top rated animes on this site i'm completely confounded by. Such as Vampire Knight, Lucky Star, Chobits. It was murder for me to watch them. My favorite female leads have to be Rin from Mnemosyne, Matoko/Major from Ghost in the Shell Series. >_> I find i hate most girls in animes though.
