Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2

on Apr 8, 2011

"All's well that ends well"- this is what R2 is trying to bring into the table. However, the damage caused by so many episodes is overwhealming and cannot be repaired. Pseoudophilosopical, useless dialogues, overwhealming fights and unsatisfactory answers are what this show offers. STORY: Really disappointing. After R1 I was expecting a plot of suspense, excitment and intelligence, but I ended up with a plot ot weakness, stupidity and boredom. Unlike R1 which flows smoothly, R2 feels the need to push you with twsits at the end of EVERY EPISODE. It's so overdone and meaningless that once reaching... read more

Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei

on Apr 2, 2011

Coming across this show, I ran upon gloomy photos and a storlyline about failures, bad luck and regret. I had already imagines this dark and depressing anime in my mind. However, this anime couldn't have me surprised more. STORY: Definately, this anime's strongest feature is its Story. It's so smart, intelligent and well-done. It doesn't try to bombard you with mysteries and complicated twists just to appear more "complex" and "convoluted" in order to reach a pompous level. The anime appears as episodic with some "reruns" of past episodes, but at the end you will be surprised... read more

Texhnolyze

on Mar 31, 2011

STORY: The plot is based on an underground city, Lukkus, and the areas surrounding it ( the Mountain, Gabe, Above-World). As in every fictional series, the anime has to explain the environment to the viewer while still having an effect as atually being part of the whole storyline. Texhnolyze does it perfectly. In each episode, a part of the mystery is uncovered and at the end you're sucked into the Texhnolyze world. The plot revolves around Ichise, Ran and various organizations. But, wait, no. This isn't one of those animes of a boy whose arch nemesis are evil, greedy Organizations. No. These Organizations... read more

Steins;Gate

on Jul 9, 2015

This is a spoiler-free review.

Steins;Gate/ ahh, this show. Simply put, it's a marvelous idea that was disasterously executed. This show goes up and down so much during its running that I almost feel like it's imposiblle to review it as a whole, and there are moments when it's great, and there are moments when it's tedious as f*ck and you can barely continue watching. It takes effort to watch this show, it needs a long time to pick up its pace, and when it does, you foolishly hope something is gonna happen when it only kinda starts repeating, same plot-only reversed.

To keep it short, stuff I... read more
