I really like Anime but I'm not a full-time otaku, mostly because I can't find animes that will really interest me. My fav so far would be: Death Note, Texhnolyze, Tatami Galaxy, Space Cowboy, Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain and Neon Genesis Evangelion. ( I do have many others to watch though).

Yea, I had a great time in Hawaii. Visited the largest active volcano, but unfortunately it was no longer erupting when I arrived on the Island. I snorkled among huge sea turtles over coral reefs which was fun. I also hiked around a volcanic crater with steam shooting from vents in the lava rock craterbed. The scenery was really inspiring and I wish that I could have stayed there alone and used it to fuel my writing.

Yea, too much ecchi in Gantz for me, though I did manage to make it all the way through. My friend claims that the manga is much better. I'm sorry to hear that you don't like Ghost Hound, I was very interested in OBEs and various other sleep based phenomena at the time that I watched it so that part of the anime really caught my attention. I like animes that contain esoteric scientific information and spiritual concepts, etc. The only movie out of that list which I've seen is "Brokeback Mountain"; I'll be sure to look into the rest though.

I've started watching The Garden of Sinners at Minai's request and I'm really satisfied with it so far. Other than that, as for anime, I've just been catching up on the episodes of several ongoing spring series that I missed while in Hawaii (Kaiji 2, Steins;Gate, etc.). I'm nearly finished reading "The Duty of Genius" by Ray Monk, which is a philosophical biography of Ludwig Wittgenstein and I'm about 150 pages into "The Gargoyle" by Andrew Davidson, but I might put down the latter permanently. Attending a going away party for a friend on Saturday which I'm dreading (I loath social situations, but he deserves for me to be there). Trying to transform anxiety into creative rocket fuel.

Yea, Kurozuka was disappointing. It had it's moments though, and, as you said, the animation is gorgeous. I haven't added and won't be adding you on facebook because I don't have a facebook XD. Been in Hawaii for nearly 2 weeks, but hopefully we can resume our conversations now that I'm back and your internet is functional : ).

Well, I'm enjoying it and it's worth giving it a shot I think.

Hahaha. Move here and I"ll get you a job :P I work at a Pizza Hut. Glamorous, I know. I'm a Shift Manager though so it's not so bad. But yea, come to the states and you can work there with me! haha.

Are you doing anything interesting this summer? Any trips planned or anything?

Well, I'm currently watching Darker than Black and it's pretty enjoyable. If you haven't seen that, I suggest you watch it. The main guy is pretty cool, and it's a pretty interesting series so far.... Maybe you've seen it already? That's all I'm watching at the moment, I just started this job full time so I don't have a lot of spare time to watch stuff haha.
