Basically I enjoy most of what I watch. About 99% so to speak. Ergo Proxy, Hellsing Ultimate, Sekirei, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, Evangelion, and a ton more I all love. Various genres and such, all that diversity and tolerance shit.

I also like dubs, prefer them even. I like Japanese voice acting enough but I'm more of a dub guy. Liam O'Brien, Crispin Freeman (aka God), Michelle Ruff, Wendee Lee, all the great English VA's I love.

Read Reviews, enjoy them, perhaps talk to me about them, let me see your view whether it contrasts mine, is an exact copy, or if you're somwhere in between.

I do agree that he could have found a better way to deal with his issues and that does kinda irk me as well. You also have my respect for not being one of those "I hate sasgay cuz hes emo" guys and actually having a good honest reason. I also hope we can be friends.

So this a respone to your comment on Sasuke Uchiha. I basically felt the need to counter you so here it is.

For one, I'm pretty sure that Sasuke doesn't think that gaining power on his own merit is beneath him. For one, he went to Orochimaru because he thought the sannin could teach him better. Your logic could literally be applied to every shinobi in the Naruto universe based on the simple fact that damn near every shinobi was trained by a sensei. I'm pretty sure that he had to train his body to get as fast as he was and even if it is true that he took enhancements while under Orochimaru's tutelage, Sasuke would still need to train in order to use the boost in his speed and strength properly. And you contradict yourself with the whole sharingan thing, because that's the exact opposite of actually training, he's simply copying others(then again he would still have to train to use said copied abilities which meant that either way, he would have had to actually train regardless of the option he took.)

Secondly, I actually do admit that he caused pain to those who cared for him and that is a completely valid point to dislike him, but let's look at it this way. As far as his descent into darkness went, it all started going down hill after Orochimaru branded him with the curse seal which had the nasty side effect of corrupting his mind. Naturally, even you'd have to agree that it could have definitely fucked with his mind (I'd also like to include that fact he was mind raped twice in his life by the big brother he loved, or loves). Not only that but even after he was branded with the curse seal, it was shown that Sasuke still did care about those who cared about him. During the gaara fight he told Naruto to get Sakura and leave despite that fact that the chances of him dying would have been 100%. He also told Sakura thank you when he left Konoha and didn't take her with him (or kill her) despite both of those options guranteeing that nobody would have known that he left the village for a while. I will admit that recent chapters have shown that he probably doesn't care anymore but hey, it took a shit ton of events to get him there. It wasn't like it magically happened over night or anything. Character development doesn't always end up in enlightened heroes who go on to save the world afterall.

On your third reason I'd like to bring up the fact that Sasuke was told the truth by (SPOILERS) Tobito who had every attention of manipulating Sasuke to his own ends. He literally told Sasuke the truth on the Uchiha massacre while the character was mentally vulnerable (he also changed the truth a bit) which was a recipe for disaster. Besides, recent chapters show that after getting a cool down talk from a revived Itachi and actually sitting down to think first, Sasuke has decided to honor his brother's wishes. It goes to show you how different someone thinks when they aren't emotionally unstable at the time(and being lied too of course).

Fourth reason, the harem of girls wanting to jump his bones are not a source of help. Just...no. All of them were only interested in him because he was cool and aloof, and they probably wouldn't have been able to properly help him. The other members of team 7 could have helped but Naruto was one of the reasons he felt the need to leave so he wasn't an option. I do admit though that Kakashi could have definitely helped him out with his problems. Whether or not Sakura could have helped him is debatable but seeing as she was the first fangirl to realize that Sasuke was human and had flaws points to her probably being able to help him out. Unfortunately being mind raped a second time and having a curse seal corrupting your mind doesn't help and Sasuke most likely saw his goal of killing Itachi as personal, and a lot of people don't like getting help from others because 'its personal'.

l understand the whole 'wrongful blame thing' but Itachi has the tendency to fuck things up so I'm not even going to go into that. It was Itachi's fault for getting Sasuke to want to kill him but that wouldn't have happened if the elders hadn't ordered Itachi to murder his entire clan, instead of just doing things peacefully. Oh, and Tobito more or less manipualted Sasuke into hating Konoha and used Sasuke's attachment to his brother (and tunnel vision logic) to do it. So yeah I'm bring up what I said earlier about the whole warping itachi's wishes thing.

It was fucked up of Sasuke to kill danzo through Karin but that was the simplest option and did I mention he was mentally unstable at the time? And in all honestly a lot of people have done the whole pawn thing (including the hidden villages, yes that also means sarutobi and minato). In fact, the whole pawn thing is what most shinobi tend to be viewed as, and its actually kind of true.

So that's my opinion. Out of everyone on Naruto (barring Sakura), Sasuke is one of the most interesting characters due to his development in the sereis(and he's just freaking cooler than Naruto who seriously needed a kick in the ass earlier in the series). If you have any questions or if you wish to talk about this more, just message me. I'm sure that I may have messed somthing up.

Hey there, I read your review on Shiki (Awesome review btw) and thought that you should try watching Higurashi no naku koro ni (When they cry), it starts very bright then goes into awfully dark and then goes back to bright before slowly going into dark again. But I should warn you, it can get very boring at times, two or three episodes are usually very slow, a bit comical and a bit mysterious and then comes one or two really dark episode and then it starts over. Even though its very slow the dark moments are often worth the wait. It feels a bit like many movies put into one series. (3-5 episodes usually is a continuation on each other before a completely new arc starts) Its a very interesting and confusing and at times horrible anime, many people will die and you won't understand much before the second season. But its very good, so if you're interested in dark anime then you should give it a try. :)

I've heard of it. But ecchi is not the type I'm interested in at the moment. I'll check it out later though!
