Damias' Top Ranked Anime of Fall 2012 Part 2

Welcome back to Part 2 of my Top Ranked Anime of Fall 2012. Looking at the anime still on-going that has impressed me the most. Reviewing this list, I have to say that these anime are a lot better than the previous list that I had done. More engaging to be precise. So without getting ahead of myself, let's get to this list. The format for this one will be best on top and mediocre on the bottom.

  1. Shin Sekai Yori (From the New World): Easily derserving to be billed this high. I was surprised at how well done this was. The story telling is so captivating and intriguing. The art style along with the music fits so well with the mood and story, it brings a sort of suspense that will pull you into their little realm. The characters are also well thought out. Having to see their struggles, realizations and hardships being developed is again, engaging.
  2. Psycho-pass : Another well developed anime. What makes this anime so great is the story and how well executed it is. Diving into the psychosis of man and the dependent of machines, it leaves one to ponder of how we as human could ever face a future such as theirs. The artwork is fantastic and characters are unique and interesting.
  3. Magi : This anime could easily top all of the shounen anime, such as Bleach, Naruto, Fairy Tail, and even One Piece (my favorite shounen anime). Aside the obvious fight scenes, which are in fact fantastic and epic, the setting is surreal, the characters are portayed to what their purposes are. You'll grow to love the one that are meant to be liked and despise those that are just plain evil. Magi will leave you spellbound... ಠ_ಠ
  4. Little Busters! : After a slow start from the beginning, it has finally grown on me, especially right after the Komari arc. The premise is quite simple yet executed in a pace that will make the viewers appriciate and connect with the characters as time goes on. Aside the colorful animation, their little adventure or slice of life drama is entertaining.
  5. Robotics;Notes : Another anime that fell because of their slow start. But after establishing the group, it picked up with conspiracies that will leave you interested and wanting more of what wil happen next. Again, the animation is great, the characters are interesting but the main appeal of this anime is again the conspiracies.
  6. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo : I have mixed feelings about this one. Yes, the animation is fantastic, yes the character's personality correspond well with one another, yes the setting is intriguing but the main issue I have with this anime are the supposed developments of the characters. Sometimes, watching them decide what they think is best and how hey come to resolve just baffles me. Not all arcs are like that, it's a hit and miss sort of analogy.
  7. Zetsuen no Tempest: The Civilization Blaster : I may have not read much of Shakespeare's work but just because it's one of the main focal points of this anime doesn't mean it'll be interesting or good for that matter. Actually this is quite an underrated anime. I do enjoy watching each episodes every week but it's hard to define what I like about it. Sometimes, the plot gets a bit confusing and all they do is talk. But maybe that's how his works are. I do see some of his motifs being portrayed into this anime. Maybe this is another example of a hit and miss.
  8. Ixion Saga: Dimension Transfer Just your generic, cliche fantasy RPG parody anime. After an enjoyable start, it sort of fell of the funnies and just went, well generic.
  9. Bakuman. (2012) : I really want to review this. After watching the first two seasons, impressed and going into the third season, I've come to a realization that the character in this anime are both hilarious and unbelievable, in a disappointing manner.

And that is my Anime That has Impressed Me That is Still Continuing into the Winter Season List. Aagin, this is completely better than the anime that is already finished because of story, execution, character development, and entertainment. I also want to add that there are two more anime that I'm watching from this season but if I announce it, I would lose all sort of creditbility, like I have any of that... Oh what the heck, it's Aikatsu! and Chou Soku Henkei Gyrozetter and they're both awful. I'll maybe add them to the list once I come back. Stay tune for any new content.
